So after finishing bottom last season what’s the reason you’ve started well?

Glad you have and a few of you said you were confident you’d be alright this season - that just down to recruitment/keeping players or just down to the gulf between the 2 leagues?

Thanks for hewitt btw, he’s as exceptionally crap as you all said he would be hah.

Well Fenty has gone and we've got new owners who have come in and allowed the best manager in the division the resources he needs to start doing the job he should have been able to do when we originally went back up to L2. Not talking in terms of wage budget here necessarily either. His recruitment does look very solid so far but we now have balls that are fully pumped up, people at the club doing their jobs properly, new gym equipment, relaid surfaces at the ground and training pitch...I could go on, so much has improved at the club.

Have you played Hewitt at CB yet? He was quality under Hurst, probably be not been good for you because Clough doesn't really know how to organise a defence.

That’s good, it’s always horrible when you go down for those reasons, i remember haslam, urgh, whoever comes up could do well, though sutton have found life hard - maybe that’s due to their pitch.

Clough did play hewitt at RB against bradford, it didn’t end well, he has then played him at CB and if anything he’s worse - he’s not a league football and i don’t expect/hope he never plays again, he’s astronomically bad

Clough has managed to find himself in the situation where he’s admitted our best CB is one of our forwards, i’ll let you work that one out - how very mansfield.

The list of why we've started so well and the belief we've stopped the rot is very long, but it all stems from new owners, honesty, transparency and Paul Hurst managing to bring in better players than we had last season. What we have now is a team spirit and some decent players for the level we are in. I've only seen two of our four games, but this lot wouldn't have been relegated.

I liked Hewitt actually, sad to hear he's not found his feet at your gaff yet. I'm sure he'll be fine once he settles in.

I'd definitely lay the blame on Clough here. Defenders don't go from being as good as he was for us under Hurst to being shit overnight. Quite concerning for you that, as I'd suggest that means Clough is a bit tactically inept.

Thanks for the well wishes, the club is a completely different one now than it has been in years and years. It's obviously very early days under the new owners but things are looking positive finally.

Clough seems to have done a great job in making Mansfield more Mansfield than Mansfield...

That’s because we’re doomed to forever be a shit lower half 4th division side, it was the case when i started following them and it is now haha. He’s right cocked it up.

Yeah i can imagine the fans coming back in droves now you’ve got rid and the manager got you promoted from the league last time didn’t he? certainly wish you well for sure.

As for clough yeah he’s properly fucked it up, we’ve signed a lad from burnley who’s had 2 crackingly bad games (i trust he’ll improve) and the other loanee defender from stoke came injured and still is, again i’ll let you work that one out haha.

Well incidentally, we've sold out in the home ends tonight for the match vs Wrexham. First time that's happened on a Tuesday since 2014. And yep, it's Paul Hurst back in charge and he actually looks relaxed and like he's enjoying it.

Before Holloway had a COVID freakout, he brought in a few loanees from Burnley and they were both class so yeah hopefully your lad will get better for you.

A Wrexham fan claimed we produced a Galatasaray type atmosphere on Tuesday (mainly because we were playing them, apparently).

Funnily enough I was only saying to the wife last week how the Humber Estuary reminded me of the Bosphorus and the church in Nunsthorpe looked like the Blue Mosque. Add that to Freeman Street Market mirroring The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul and you can see where he was coming from!

I just find you tiresome you TOSSER!
I don't know if it's your lack of education, or your lack of imagination, but I think what's really going is you're boring YOURSELF. Pro Tip: Have you thought about maybe mixing it up a bit, you know throw in a synonym or two here and there. Give it a try, it might just give you a second wind, you great big MASTURBATIONIST! :ds:
