Being optimistic, I don't think the play-offs are out of reach. In my opinion, there aren't too many strong sides this year compared to last season, so most teams have a decent shot at a successful season (excluding Mansfield obvs).

I'd agree with that, we seem to have lost 3 good sides through automatic promotion with Southend being alright too, and we don't seem to have gained any particularly good teams from League 1/Conference.

Comfortable with 16th, very happy with 12th, ecstatic with 10th upward.

Don't think we'll be anything above mid table but considering how bad we where last season some kind of progress and better football is all most stags fans will want.

Orient have the strongest team by miles but are also run really, really badly.

We're stable enough but it depends on how good our foreign imports actually turn out to be.

Although our signings look ok so far until we sign some actual quality in the final 3rd of the pitch I can't see us improving on last year. As far as I can see we haven't actually improved on any area that we desperately needed to improve upon

As it stands I think we'll be comfortably mid-table. Once the new signings are on board I will re-evaluate, because with the momentum we have currently and the unity between the fans and the team (something we never properly had when we were in L2 last time after dropping down from L1 in 2011), I think we can push on further.

We've had a rating of 1-10 of how excited people are for the new season on our forum, I'd say the average rating was 3 with plenty of 0s and 1s amongst them. Safe to say there is little to no optimism from the majority of our fans.

You'd have to be one miserable fvcker to predict relegation for your club before all the dust's settled on transfers and that - I exempt Orient from this since their owner seems well dodge, but for anyone else...
