I have absolutely no idea. The other day I was optimistic, and yesterday I felt sure we were going to lose. One plus I do have is that Hartlepool aren't exactly prolific in front of goal and our defence has shown signs of actually being competent of late which is a bonus and something that hopefully we can continue with on Saturday.
I think we'll win this but you never know. We're moving in the right direction with Hignett in terms of both performances and results. We have started to look more threatening going forward and better at the back.
9 goals for and 11 goals against in Hignett's 6 league games in charge. 5 goals for and 12 goals against in Moore's 6 previous league games.
Certainly moving in the right direction. Providing the same team starts as against Barnet, I would expect a victory. However, it is typical Pools to back up a good performance with a 0-1 defeat, conceding a 75th minute goal.
A victory could all but secure league football again for us.
Daggers have only scored 1 in the last 3 games,so can't see them being much of a threat.
While we are a completely different team going forward.
3-1 Pools
Made it hard for ourselves at times but we were good value for an hour of the game for the points. Great start, there was only one team in it first half hour then wobbled a bit after Carson somehow let in their speculative effort for 2-1. The old jitters returned, they missed a great chance for 2-2 but then we went straight down the other end and scored. After that it was pretty much plain sailing.
