This season he's been woeful, and the 2 seasons before he's failed to show his 'World Class' talent. Everyone is waiting eagerly for him to 'take the next step up', but how long have we been waiting already? I'd love to see it, but has he peaked already at 24? Or will he find motivation to come back from this slump better than ever and have a break through season?

*Disclaimer: I do believe Hazard is one of the best players in the league, if he has peaked then it is one hell of a fine peak, but not the peaky peak we had all hoped to see.

Threads baiting BlueBee will only make him feel special.

I think you're right though, the Premier League player of the season definitely failed to show his talent last term, only managing to be the best player for the resulting champions. Before everyone else joins the bandwagon I'm gonna say his brother Thorgan is a better player. That way I can refer people back to this post in a 'before it was cool to say it' way.

*Disclaimer: Are you peeking? You must be squinting, this text is so fucking small! Peaky Blinders was good tele.

Haha! Bless Blue_Bee, I love that little rascal. I remain impartial on the subject, merely asking the fine posters on 1FF to offer an opinion.

He's human, he has differing levels of confidence and competence, like all football players and indeed all of us.

He's great to watch when he's taking players on but I MUST admit I've never really got why he's supposed to be one of the best players in the world. Aguero, Silva, Sanchez are all better than him and they're in the same division. IMHO.

For me he reminds me a little of Wilshere. Not in style of play, more in my being unable to see what the BIG deal is with them. Of course, I recognise they're very good players (with Hazard being the better of the two by a margin, although Wilshere has been unfortunate with injuries), but each so far has failed to live up to the sometimes silly hype they have received. Both still young though.

Tbf the whole team has been underperforming this season, to it'll be interesting to see how he bounces back as things progress.

I remember reading quotes off him recently how he felt he was at his "peak", now obviously it's probably a lost in translation thing where he just meant that he's currently better than he's ever been in his career, but it was interesting when he said he'll never be an out and out goal scorer because when he scores in a game he doesn't really feel mentality wise the need to go and bag more or something along them lines.

Is that a lack of ambition? Has he psychologically set a ceiling for himself?

World class is being just that world class, so he must have taken the Champions League by storm or the World Cup by storm.

He has done neither so he cannot be classed as world class...................scoring against shite teams in the 3rd or 4th best league in Europe does not make you world class................even if SKY Sports News says so.

Ibra has never done those things. Is he not or has he never been world class?

He's not even that good anyway. One game against Sunderland a few years ago and since then he's been world class. How many goals did he get last season from open play?

You're judging Hazard on how many goals he has scored?

I'll let you know when I find out how many he scored from open play. If it's less than 10 then that for an attacking midfielder, who played for easily the best team in the league last season, is nowehre near world class.

19 goals 11 assists 6 from penalties. 7 if you count the one vs Palace where it's saved and he scores the rebound.

You might wanna mute that.

Not bad by any stretch of the imagination that. I wonder who could outperform him in the same position?

No doubting he's a good player, but he is not world class, think Messi, Ronaldo, Barkley and Bale for world class. :animatedf:
