Are you still playing your "delightful" brand of hoofball and relying on loan signings?

Yes. You managed to finish that stand yet?

Not yet

The rozzers still chasing the money down, reports released condemning the local authority recently etc. The then Tory MP received campaign donations from the owner of the company the money went to, and when it was clear nothing was happening and something was amiss said Tory MP ensured the loan instalments were still paid. The old chairman’s wife is being forced to sell her house to pay some of the money back so silver linings.

It stunk from the start and its still lingering over the club

Welcome back. Always mediocre to have an utterly nondescript club like Northampton back in the same division.

Consolidation is not a concept familiar to Cobblers fans.

Cobblers are like that mate who stays on your sofa every weekend. Fun to have around, but you know they'll be back again very soon so you never really miss them when they're gone.

Hahaha you obviously haven't been following it!
It is a big shame what’s happened to you lot mind you. Crawley or someone like that could have had the decency to excuse themselves from the division for being so tinpot. Goes for Southend too.

Why pick on Crawley because you've had a bad season?

We didn't make Grimsby appoint Holloway as manager and we have nothing to do with Southend having an owner who allowing them to drop like a stone not to mention that we have no control over over your yo-yo.

If you're feeling frustrated maybe buy a mink glove more than have a dig at others.

I’m surely crawley is a lovely football club, but i must admit it’s one of those places i’ll only ever go to if there’s something riding on it.

But the same thing could be said for about another 50 FL clubs and not just Crawley eh? I have my favourite places like everyone else but I only concern myself with the ground itself (and the facilities) when the U's are on the road.

Don’t care about facilities, I go for the football not the place these days. As long as I can have a beer and see at least 75% of the pitch properly that’s more then enough

I really enjoyed my trip to Field Mill last time, liked that they serve spirits from the hatch behind the away stand, and you can pour them into coffee cups and drink them in the stand. good to warm up when the winds blowing in.

After parked in town for free (not done that in a while without getting a ticket or clamped) round the back of a shop next to some skips and went to a couple of decent pubs, had some good banter with the locals. Used vouchers to get bogof pizza from papa johns which we had in the car cos it was pissing it down. We also won 4-3 with a last minute winner from Aaron Collins. All in all a quality day.

Eric, I don't take things to heart on here after about 3 minutes. I bite sometimes just to remind people that we exist.

As for bad places to visit for football nothing can beat Canvey Island on a winter's night. The place is built of the crap floating downstream from London and the wind blows. My god the wind blows. I've played football on a glacier and it was warmer than Canvey in October. I'm sure that gas flame they leave on all the time is to try to cheer the place up...or burn it down.

I quite enjoyed my visits to Canvey. There can't be many grounds where you can stand in the away end watching tankers go by.

Always enjoy Crawley really.
I remember going to Crawley on a private coach the other year, pulled into the car park at the ground and asked whether we were the Northampton team bus. 55 pissed lads would probably have scored more goals than our mob managed this year mind you.
The pub at the top of the hill still going strong?

Eric; The New Moon still there. Not sure any pub can be said to be going strong though.

It was my lunchtime drinking place while I was at school. They didn't seem to mind a bunch of 15-16 year olds at lunch but the teachers used to moan if we came back pissed.

Hi, guys! Didn’t think I’d be back here quite so soon. Watching the planned destruction of a football club has been an eye opener. Can’t be too surprised, though. I’ve known since he first stepped into the club it’d all end in tears.

Think we may have some good news coming our way in the next couple of weeks.
