Its been 9 years since we've been here, I see there are alot of new faces but plenty of old ones from our last 11 year stay here.

We will have the biggest budget down here next season when we're relegated to Non League football with Darius Henderson on £10k, Jobi McAnuff on £7k, Jay Simpson on £5k and Dean Cox also on £5k providing he isn't sold. :ffs: Just think between the 4 of them, they could probably pay to run 6-7 clubs combined at this level between them!!!!

Our owner is a fucking c***, but we will welcome you all to East London next season for those who have not yet been. Unless you're Carlisle United who just seem to be joined to us at the hip! :2thumb:

I need to tick off Accrington, Morecambe, Newport, York and Barnets new Hive if they make it over the line this weekend......

Of course, of course! Ten Years since the last M11 derby! Lingy was an ok League Two manager, but really shouldn't have dropped to Non League. He still attends our home games and his son plays for us.

The joys of Tommy Taylor and his 30 man squads. Although you did give us Matt Joseph :bow:Tony Richards, Scott Barrett and Shaun Howes. We could name a U's/O's XI if we thought hard enough!

Good to see you again! :bye:

I'd hoped it would be in league one, but beggars can't be choosers and I'm just happy we're still here.

IIRC correctly last time we played you was just after we'd been mathematically relegated, so I hope we meet under happier circumstances for us next time. While I wouldn't wish relegation on anyone who doesn't play in green, having you guys in the same division will be a bonus for me given that I'm only at the other end of the Central Line. (I was actually born and lived in East London in my early years. My uncle used to go to Orient in the sixties and seventies, although I wouldn't call him a supporter as such).

I know there must be considerable gloom around the place, but your not actually dead yet. Commiserations if the worst does happen. IMO you are a prime example of the dangers of the recent Sugar Daddy private ownership lunacy and the folly of so many fans yearning for a rich man and sneering at fan ownership. I hope you have a strong Trust!

You couldn't just leave us alone could you? I'm frankly sick to the back teeth of being hammered by Leyton Orient, and clearly when you heard we were safe from relegation that was the cue for you to go all out to get into League 2 and be with us.

Although if things go as they did last time we were both in this division I shall be more than happy, and presumably you will too.

Our ground's changed a lot since that PSF in '06.

I don't go to many away matches but your ground is probably the cheapest and easiest to get to so I'll give it a go.

Oh, Wombletom told me that I'm not allowed to go to away matches after the Daggers mullered us the other week.:ffs:

Orient and Colchester next year. Chuck in Southend staying down and we have a lovely Essex/East London mini league...

...which we'll piss all over of course.

Then we've also got a London mini league of us two, Barnet, AFC Wimbledon... Not having Gillingham as our local 'derby' is literally the only plus point of relegation.

Well last chance to visit Bootham Crescent next season and slag off the away end and toilets before we move to the new stadium. Make the most of a ground with a bit of old time character before it's lost to a boring identikit one the season after.

The new Italian owners, they have screwed everything up.

-Appointed an awful CEO, appointed a sporting director - both of which really screwed morale of the club up on the inside.
-Gave Russell Slade a very very unfair ultimatum, which ended up in him throwing his toys out of the pram and jumping ship to Cardiff.
-Screwing the caretaker Kevin Nugent around, telling him he's manager but not offering him anything in writing.
-Making the Sporting Director "manager" for 7 games before hiring an Italian with little experience.
-Signing old unfit Italian players like Andrea Dossena and Giabvito Plasmati who have both been injured and when they have played, fucking awful. Add the fact that Dossena is being paid £20k per week :ffs:
-Hiring Fabio Liverani, who cannot speak a word of English with no experience of the English lower divisions.
-Massive turnover in backroom staff followed with the English ones leaving and you gussed it, Italians coming in........
-Rumours of players having to give their own team talks in the tunnel before playing Colchester away.
-Failing to pay players earlier this year.
-Calling out one of our players over the tannoy a few weeks ago because he turned up at half time (Sort it out internally you retard)

We have virtually the same squad as last year, minus 2 and plus about 6. Our wage budget is the biggest in the clubs history of £4million and we are going down.

In short, the man is a c***. All he had to do was hire a manager with experience with the squad we have and not an amateur and we wouldn't be in this mess.

Foreign owners at a small club with a low self esteem anyway = :msi:

Nothing compares to Swansea Vetch Field toilets, 3 brick walls and a hole!

I hate playing Southend, it brings out the morons from both sides. Our trips to Roots Hall usually have huge police presence all over the place with you basically going in to the ground as early as possible to avoid all the crap outside and getting out as quick as possible to avoid all the extra grief after the game. Awful game, awlays grief when we play them on the trains and around Roots Hall.

The trust do their best and I have alot of respect for them, but they have about as much power as a snail and there are very few members as we have a very ageing fan base and not many of the old boys want the hassle anymore.

Those four players mentioned above would pretty much pay for our who squad I think...

Never been to Orient so was kind of hoping you'd come down (sorry). Assume you'll sell out your meagre allocation at ours (around 900), how many do you give to away fans?

We only gave 1300 to Sheff Utd for Saturday, but thats now become do or die. Usually you will get around 1500, Barry Hearn used to give 3000 and the whole stand, but the Italians aren't so keen to do that as they like giving out freebies to all the local schools every week for that stand.

900 won't be enough for when we go to your place, at least 1500-1800 of us will want to go to that, since we haven't played each other since the early 80's I believe.

As metioned previously, there was a friendly at K's Meadow back in 2006 which I went too. I know a few people who like to go and watch the K's play as well when they get time.

I hated those games as well. For a start I never saw Orient as a rival, don't think most Southend or Orient fans do. One game at Orient I remember watching as 5 coppers can running past me, followed by about 10 'lads' with what appeared to be scaffolding poles in their hands. The coppers all legged it into that pub on the corner of the main road and a residential sorta road and locked the door!
Then I never actually saw us win a game, every time I went to Brisbane Road we lost 2-1 (the own goal game being a special highlight), every time at Roots Hall we lost 1-0. Was in America in the 04-05 promotion season, said to my missus i'd check the scores and if we hadn't lost I was never going back to another Southend-Orient fixture. Was 2-2, think we may have even been 2-0 down, so I haven't witnessed the fixture since.
Genuinely feel for Orient, thought they were going to be a perennial fixture towards the top of L1 but have been taken over by a bunch of loons and its all gone tits up. What even is the plan with these people? looking on it seems to be Conference in a hurry then maybe franchise the club to Serie C.

Do Orient still have wooden seats in the away end? Or have I dreamt that they ever did?

Thought you did.

My last visit to your place was a 1-1 draw, which must be 8 or 9 years ago. Richard Butcher scored for us on his return on loan and I think you may have had Gary Alexander up front.

Over 30 years since the last Orient v Wimbledon game which was a great day out, not least because we won 6-2. I went to all six we played, and the home side scored 2 goals in every single one. Will look forward to it immensely if it happens but please, please send Crawley down instead if you can.

We did indeed. I remember such greats as Terry Fleming, Gareth Ainsworth, Phil Stant, Ben Futcher and Colin Alcide along with Matt Carbon.

We both share a love of GTF or GF as he was when he was with you, too.

EDIT - Didn't you have Matt Lockwood at that time as well?
