We have not won since January 3rd.
We haven't won at home since December 12th.
We've lost the last 7 including been thrashed by Colchester, losing to fucking Blackpool and even somehow getting nothing from Graham Westley's masterful Peterborough.
Our last 3 full times managers have been Dean Saunders, Paul Dickov and Darren Ferguson.
This will be our 3rd relegation in 4 years.
The only enjoyment we get from games is abusing our despicable excuse for a manager who like his predecessors seemingly seems to be unsackable.

So yeah, for Donny 2016-2017 will just be another season in 'Club Doncaster's' attempts to send us down to non-league.

At least you lot will have a nice big ground to go to and get 3 points from though. :hesk:

Hopefully junior Fergie will remain so we can join in abusing him too. We like doing that.

Can you not just win a few and relegate Blackpool instead? I hate Fergie Jr as much as the next person, but don't really mind Doncaster Rovers much (the place, well...).

Cheers.

He really is an insufferable c***.He doesn't even clap the fans (we were unbelievably patient with him) and like his predecessor struggles to blame himself for anything.

I genuinely hate him.

That's not going to be possible sadly, even though comparing there squad with ours today we really should have won.

I fail to see how the likes of Andy Williams, Butler, Alcock, Coppinger, Tyson, Stuckmann, Evina, Rowe, Cameron Stewart etc are this bad. They are experienced professionals ffs with the likes of Williams and Coppinger supposedly been two of league ones best players.

I wouldn't imagine it feels that way after being in the Championship two seasons ago.
We were in the Championship 5 out of 6 seasons from 2008-2014. Feels like a long time ago now. Two truly awful managers who have both been given far too much time has killed us off, it's amazing how much damage two dreadful managers and an embarrassing board can do in 2 years really.

When we were down there, we clinged on to the fact Donny were down there for ages and then surged up the leagues.

If you disregarded the SHEDLOADS of dosh thrown at it, it seem like a dream open to anyone. Sigh.

It's still better than the Conference.

I can't say Doncaster and Mansfield have particularly ever got on with each other but it'll be nice to have another northern side here (you'll realise this season is full of southerners) with the absence of York.

Surprised you've struggled so much, if you could bring Chesterfield with you thatd be good

Was gonna ask what went wrong but
Yeah it really is stunning mate. On paper we've had good squads throughout their tenures but they've all butchered any hope of them playing well.

Just to put things into perspective, Saunders was by far the best of those 3 even if his post match conferences were mental and he clearly just did things on a whim. Dickov and Ferguson both have a place in our worse managers of all time list. Bloody useless jock bastards!

Yeah seems bloody years since we played your lot, one of the few away days I'm looking forward to. The 'One Call Insurance' derby.

I've never been called a scab at your new ground, so that'll be another one to tick off on my 'being called a scab at the 92' journey.

Looking forward to it; alus liked going to Donny.

Do you miss Bennett and Stevens? Looking at your forum back in the summer the general feeling was Bennett was hot and cold but would be missed more than Stevens.

Shocking to see how bad Ferguson has done at Doncaster - To think that we nearly employed him in the summer, but went for Ian Hendon instead :dk:

Would be Doncasters first time back here since the 2003/04 season when Dave Penney forged out a very good side.

Of course we all remember that Doncaster side from 1997/98..........Probably the worst professional side I have ever seen.

They'll be one of the bigger hitters again next season at this level. Not sure who will join Crewe, Colchester and Doncaster though......

Stevens was a product of the Dickov era, bringing in random players just to fill gaps. He hasn't been missed.

Bennett was signed by O'Driscoll in 2011 but was then sacked before he'd even played I think which is a shame as he is exactly the type of manager I think Bennett would have flourished under. He was then drowned out under Saunders before coming back to prominence in our title winning season, I think that's the only time he's been good for us. Dickov never really 'got' him and was sent off on loan for our one season return to the Championship, last season he was pretty average but still probably one of our better players. I definitely think the kid had potential and perhaps under a good manager he's finally showing his potential?

Basically shit managers ruined his time here - I can't say I was too gutted when he left but he did undeniably have his fans.

Us Donny fans are in agreement that whilst that 98 side was awful they gave it there all. These current wasters who are nearly all products of the Dickov era which has been continued under Ferguson just can't be arsed. I can honestly say that season was more enjoyable than this shambles - at least we all knew they were all shite this squad should be doing so much better.

I wouldn't be convinced we'll be a big hitter tbh. The board willl keep Ferguson like they did with Dickov and I can see it been very similar; A season underachieving in mid table under a manager no one wants.

A shame we're getting relegated as it would be fun to have league fixtures against Donny. Beat them 2-0 in the JPT this season too.

Yeah that loss really encapsulates how shit we are.

I think that was under Rob Jones who tbf was miles better than Dickov or Ferguson.
