Same club in every respect- we are a reformed club, not a new one. This was confirmed at the time, by the FA. The Mickey Mousers know it too but the pretence otherwise is all they have to cling on to. :ds:

Looks like the only dissenters here are the 2 tin pot Mickey Mousers, the REAL club fans recognise us as one of their own.
The only tinpotter on this thread is yourself.

TNL may not be as grand as the Shay but it is owned by the club whereas the Shay is a sports stadium where FC Halifax Town and Halifax Panthers rugby league club both play home games. The stadium is owned by Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council.

But should FC Halifax FC ever have the honour of visiting FGR at a future date [perhaps in FA Cup], the game will be played in a state of the art modern stadium. And I expect FC Halifax FC will be still be sharing their ground with a rugby club, courtesy of the local council.

Did you just copy the old Wimbledon honours in with the new ones? You do actually know that they aren't officially AFCW's right? I think all the old honours/trophies belong to the London Borough of Merton? They used to anyway, once they got taken off MKD.

Anyway, has anyone actually checked the Conference table? Halifax are in 6th. Got to admire that confidence, but those fifth tier playoffs are a savage garden, my friend. You need a final defeat à la Grimsby, FGR and Tranmere to really do it right, therefore I'm backing Notts County to do it this season.

A club IS its fans in the same way a club is nothing without its fans.

A shop is nothing without it's regular customers, therefore if the same customers still go there it must be the same shop right?

Funny how the real ex league clubs fans don’t let you into their ‘brotherhood’ despite your desperate attempts to join in.

Christ what sort of idiot would start a thread like that?

Halifax Town AFC were the only club to be relegated twice from the Football League before 2 up and 2 down was introduced. Proper heritage that, no wonder the poster with the one joke that’s well past it’s sell by date is desperate for FC Halifax Town to claim the history.

We’re not all strange or desperate for attention in the National League.

Now don't get me wrong - I do like and admire FGR. They're a proper old fashioned left wing politics club, the St Pauli of the EFL if you will. But have they ever played Man City or Man Utd?

Same fans + same ground = same club.

And the same colours too, unlike say FGR ;)

This isn't a competition/comparison between us and Halifax. We're tinpot and we know we are. But we are the same continuous tinpotter, not a reformed club pretending to be the same club despite our club officially not recognising the old clubs history to try and make sure you don't have to pay off HMRC or any of the other local suppliers the old club cheated.

FC Halifax are in denial.

The Shay was dug out of the very earth in the summer of 1921 by Shaymen true, in readiness for our first game in the Football League. We named ourselves The Shaymen in honour of those fine gentlemen. The ground is now a crown jewel of the town, held in trust by the council. The rugby club simply lied their way in there. Thanks for asking..:ds:

Which is why you formed a tribute club.

Nowt wrong with that, just accept you're as tinpot as they come and celebrate the fact.

Christ! This is REALLY important to you, isn't it. :fl::fl::fl::£:£:£:£:£

VERY important, yes.

Nothing like a good little tit for tat about our tinpot clubs, it's like the good old days.

I am confused as to why the FGR fans are so anti re-formed clubs.

For my two pennies, FC Halifax are just the Halifax of old, just like Chester FC are Chester City, 1883 Darlington are Darlington, etc...

Why has no-one picked up on Bristol City only being around since 1982 when the original company went bankrupt and BCFC (1982) Ltd acquired the players' contracts?

I'm no AFC Wimbledon apologist, but only an idiot considers them anything but the successors to the original Wimbledon FC. Although, last I heard, the FA Cup is still in a library in Merton Borough.

No, no it is not reformed clubs but solely B2TF, who to put it politely is a disruptive influence wherever he goes.

Everyone can see that he has contempt for any club that has done or is doing better than his own team and resents fact that some teams have been fortunate in having chairmen with bigger pockets than cash poor FC Halifax Town [2009].

Anyway I’ve made my point that ‘FC Halifax Town 2009’ is a small town club who play on a rugby pitch that is owned by the local council.

I’ll let him ramble on with his inane propaganda as if he were his club’s Joseph Goebbels.
