Unlucky.

Initially, I thought "well maybe he might actually be able one of those managers who does better with no money than a large budget". However, he is still one of the most tactically inept managers around at this level.

Kiddy are a clusterfuck right now, it doesn't look good for them going forward if they think Wackaday is the answer.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Expect utter nonsense in every interview , "the best football in the league" ticky tacky bullshit In your own half that will get you nowhere...

If David hockaday was made of chocolate he'd eat himself, utter wankstain unlucky kiddy!

It's also ironic that kiddy away was the game dale made his mind up on sacking hockaday and now it's the place that have hired Him!

Bet the kiddy fans who sang "sacked I'm the morning" with us fgr fans never saw this one coming!

Wrong, he had a small budget for the first 20 months of his tenure here, and failed with that too, taking us down once (reprieved) and just keeping us up somehow thanks to other teams incompetence despite a slightly better budget.

Once he had a really decent budget, his tactical ineptitude and awful man-management really shone through, he had all the tools to be successful and still made a mess of it. On top of that he was completely delusional, and kept making bullshit excuses and using clichéd manager speak in every interview, which really irritated fans.

Kiddy are doomed, maybe their board have realised it and have gone for the cheap option, hoping that his youth development background might mean he finds one or two gems they can make a bit of money on. He also knows a couple of players already, although I'm not sure what Reece and Jared will think of this. Expect Al Bangura to sign soon.

Real shame to see Kiddy in such a mess, really enjoy going there.

Woke up this morning hoping to find a positive and I can't think if any. Come the end of the season it will have been a fun 11 years down here.

It's also ironic that our mess started after Hockaday was sacked and Steve Burr was given permission to talk to FGR but rejected them. And since then we've sacked Burr, hired Thorn, then sacked Thorn, lost two chairmen and a hand full of directors twice, nearly went bust multiple times last season, stayed Full-Time for some reason and sacked another manager.

What an awful few years.

Quite a few choice things arouse me, no doubt it is the same for the majority on here. The thought of Dave Hockaday in my club's dugout does not stir my loins into a frenzy.

Might get in a couple of our youngsters who are looking for loans. Get Marshall and Randall and they'll do well at Kiddy

I know it is often hard to see a positive but in this case it isn't all negative. Hockaday is a good coach, but not a manager or tactical genius, he is good at working with younger players but has a habit of alienating the older members of his squad...maybe they just stand up to him and question his tactics, I really don't know. When he was with Rovers we had a decent defence, think of the likes of Hodgkiss, Turley, Oshodi and Stokes, which I still rate as one of the best back fours since I have had an interest in the team. What let him down was often the midfield and forwards, the latter of which he collected like a kid does with Panini stickers...on one day he signed three forwards in one go, if I tell you that one of them was Matthew Barnes-Homer then I think you might start to question his methods. As has been mentioned above, I'm not sure what Jared or Reece will make of this appointment. Be prepared for a rush of signings of players he worked with during his time at Watford and Southampton, maybe even ourselves. To be fair some of them were very good, but not all. Good luck Kiddy.
