Looking for a free bet? Visit topbettingoffers.co.uk - a 1FF powered betting comparison site.

I know there are several horse racing fans on here so thought it would be a good idea to start a thread up.

I appreciate there is already a Cheltenham thread but thought it would be good to have a thread to discuss the daily racing, post tips, your fancies, share offers etc.

Now is a good time with all of the big races/meets still to come.

Had a small e/w double today, Magic City 10/1 at Meydan who was placed and waiting on Smoothtalkinrascal 7/1 at Chelmsford.

Naturally, no joy.

haha Josses Hill was just absolutely pathetic expected much, much more. Un De Sceaux for the Arkle must be the biggest banker of the festival will be amazed if he loses looks in a different league to anything else I think he would go close in the Champion Chase

Un De Sceaux now as short as 1/2, 4/5 before Josses Hill's attempt at jumping today

Haven't seen today's race but was contemplating taking on Un De Sceaux at the festival when odds on, but if Josses Hill was as bad as you say, I may think again.

I'll leave the win bet alone for the Arkle I think, I like the look of Vautour and Clarcam e/w.

When Clarcam met UDS the other week
Pretty sure Vautour is heading for the JLT I'm not convinced by him anyway the races his won this season he's been about 1/5 against weaker opposition then when he had a race he lost to Clarcam....refer to that video again..... Aslong as UDS stays fit gotta be fancied for the Champion Chase next year

Absolutely no doubt that UDS is a cut above the rest of the field.

There is just no value in backing him when at odds on with a couple of worthy challengers and at 14/1 I think Clarcam is well worth an ew bet, particularly if Vautour(who did beat Clarcam back in November btw) goes for the JLT as you say. Whilst we're talking about the Arkle, a comfortable victory for Vibrato Valtat at Warwick today.

In other news, AP Mcoy announces he'll retire at the end of the season, what a man. Jump racing won't be the same.

Won a bit on Coneygree at Newbury on Sat, good price of 9/2 too - doubled it up with Chesterfield as well.

Rare Racing win for me, shame the football betting was a joke!

ahh I didn't know Vautour had beaten Clarcam previously..

Yeah I know what you mean in going ew I'd rather just go bigger on what I think is going to win.

I'm going to have a single on Carlingford Lough for the GC would be so fitting for McCoy to win the GC on his last ever Cheltenham festival and after his Irish Hennessy win yesterday I think he has a good chance.

Had Sire De Grugy in a treble with Chelsea and Swindon his jumping was not great and led to him falling, good news for the Sprinter Sacre fans

Fair enough, I'm generally a pretty hopeless punter so you stick to your own strategies!

Not much doing today but there was a few quid sitting in my Hills account so gone for a Trixie with nothing other than a few fancies, typically I would have normally done e/w but not worth it as all picks under 5/1 and my stake being so small.

15.10 - Catterick - Dewala @ 13/8
15.40 - Catterick - Sixty Something @ 4/1
17.00 - Wolverhampton - Chanceuse @ 10/3

Edit: Started well, ended poorly.

Does anyone follow The Winners Enclosure on Twitter? often come up with some good wins. Nothing I really fancied today so have backed their e/w double as a bit of fun.

13.55 - Lingfield - Courier @ 13/2
16.05 - Chepstow - Pitter Patter @ 11/2

Great Expectations @ 5/1 takes my fancy in the 16.15 at Lingfield too, may back that if the e/w double returns anything.

They back too many horses in my opinion, it is the same lot as Football Accumulators and they just seem to be backing a horse in every race at every meet which is ridiculous. They are bound to have 5 winners in a day if you tip 30 horses.

Much rather follow a tipster who tips 1 or 2 a day.

Search Cheltenham Trends on twitter, a mate of mine and puts good stuff up pre Cheltenham and gives a good idea of who to back and the insight into picking certain horses. Well interesting if you have a spare half hour

Fair point about TWE, probably looks as if they tip more winners then they actually do. Courier was an absolute dud a minute ago.

Cheers for that mate, will check it out.

Looks like More of That is out of the World Hurdle which throws that race wide open, Annie Power still has an entry..

Surely AP will run in the Mares Hurdle, bookies seem to think so anyway!

Yeah you'd think so considering she hasn't had a run all season but WM has Glens Melody who is second fav for the mares anyway and now there's no More of That they must be tempted. If AP runs even remotely fit she'll walk the mares I hope they go for the World Hurdle again

Agree with that, the world hurdle must hold the most appeal for the Mullins team now, the withdrawal of more of that will shake up the market too.

Any bets today?

An e/w L15 for me, if nothing comes of this (which is highly likely) going to give up mid-week betting until the Monday night meets at Windsor start up again. (And the festival, of course.)

14.10 - Leicester - Boss in Boots @7/2
15.10 - Leicester - Henri De Boistron @ 7/2
15.40 - Leicester - Christopher Wren @ 15/2 (Generous odds imo)
16.00 - Kelso - Total Assets @ 13/2
All BPG

Nothing for me in the week, just the big races on the weekend and festivals for me, easy access to information. Haven't the time to do midweek unless really bored at work and just have a hit and hope. I get more involved in midweek in flat season on only due to there being more big races though.

Best way!

That L15 was atrocious.

Got an E/W 4 fold tomorrow to keep me entertained in work.

Capard King 8/11
Holiday Magic 11/8
Liberty One 5/1
Bidourey S/P

Don't really have a clue about the horses to be honest, just try my luck now and again.

Cheers. Will probably be my last online bet that until Cheltenham, so hopefully it'll be a good'un!

Yeah, we could all do with winning some extra cash before Cheltenham, a potentially expensive 4 days!

Not bad, 2 winners and a place. How much did you win?

All big favourites, Bidourey went off at 1/3.

Ruby Walsh pretty much confirmed that Annie Power will be going for the Mares Hurdle on The Morning Line this morning.
