Tea every time. There's a chap I work with who hates all hot drinks. People often look at him like he's got two heads when he says he doesn't like coffee or tea. Gets people angry in a way I would reserve for beer preferences.
I'm in the same boat and can definitely identify with this especially when I add in the fact that I don't touch fizzy drinks either.:tw:

Ok, seeing as you asked I'm going to give you a fully detailed, warts and all, breakdown of my hot beverage drinking habits

At work - nearly always 3 x coffee - one first thing at about 9am, one at about 10:15am and a further one at about 2:45pm. There's a rota for the latter two so I may somewhat reluctantly (as it's by far my favourite hot beverage of the day) skip the first one if the kitchen's too busy and I decide I cba. Used to have a post-work one too but I've knocked that on the head.

At weekends/if I'm off work - probably one late morning/early afternoon coffee (depending on when I get up). By the time I've decided I might like another one it's usually getting on for alcohol time, and there's only really one winner there.

If I'm at my parents - probably about as many coffees as I'm offered which is always at least 3/4. They, like my sister, are tea bastards though (basically an untrustworthy breed)

Hope you enjoyed that rundown.

Tea.2 Sugars.Drink around 6 cup a day.Used to drink a can of Red Bull nearly every day(Obviously this is not a hot drink) The chest pains were a sign that i should probably cut down on drinking it.

I enjoy coffee, but the truth is it makes me shit. And seeing as I'm already a pretty prolific shitter, I just find it doesn't fit my schedule.

I spend large parts of my days earning money by sitting in coffee shops and pubs, and while I'm very happy to find a hidden spot and abuse starbucks or costa's heating and tables, I do pay my way in the independent places.

So I normally end up drinking a fair bit of tea, very unfussy about the variety (normally go for the one I've never heard of if there are options, or a really difficult to pronounce one if a student is ordering) and i usually just drink all the milk they give me in a big gulp and then see how many more times I can re-fill.

Over Christmas I insisted that all students join me for mulled cider or wine in classes on my last day, and was so pissed by my final class that I fell asleep when they were doing a grammar exercise.

Herby fruity teas. I often have Yorkshire Tea now with breakfast when I get up early. Just remembered I have some crème brûlée hot chocolate out there somewhere too.

LOVE Coffee, it's my number one 'must do' before leaving for work, normally at the sacrifice of food. I'd say I have 2-3 cups of coffee a day, occasionally more. When I'm not drinking Coffee, it's squash or diet coke. Bovril on a cold Tuesday night at the football is just a must.

Freezing at a game, buying a cup of soup, being so desperate that you go straight for it, burning your tongue for the rest of the week, permanently reducing the sharpness of your sense of taste a tiny bit, is a rite of passage.

Coffee. Don't really need it as a pick up or anything, just quite nice. I like it strong though with only a little milk. I don't tend to feel the caffeine effects but then again I don't drink much tbh, only a cup a day if that. Tea I'm more inclined to have on an afternoon so don't mind a cup with a touch of sugar and a dark chocolate digestive.

I went five days without tea or coffee last year and had a headache most days and felt awful. I usually have about seven coffees a day and two or three teas. Could probably live without tea but not coffee.

I used to say I didn't like hot drinks when I worked in an office (even though I like a tea), purely because I couldn't be arsed taking my turn every day to go and make everyone a hot drink :D I was happy with my bottle of mineral water anyway.

Before I started in the building industry, I didn't drink any hot drinks at all aside from the odd hot chocolate in the middle of winter or Lemsip. I honestly don't think it's possible to function as a builder without hot drinks though, especially this time of year. Used to be all about tea but a guy I was working with for about two years had the memory of a goldfish and would always make me coffee. Used to hate the stuff, now I own a Tassimo machine.

I'm quite partial to Green Tea too, lovely stuff.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Used to drink seven or eight coffees a day. Realised it was doing bad things so now it's a couple of cups of tea and water all day. Two to three litres a day usually.

Usually have a cup of tea in the morning with breakfast before leaving for work. Then have a coffee in work If I'm feeling tired or run down. Usually have another 2-3 teas in the day. Quite like green tea too. And hot Vimto is immense when you have a sore throat

I can't stand hot drinks but I drink about 2/3 473ml cans of Red Bull a day.

Been doing so for around 6 months. Hasn't killed me yet.

Green tea for me all through the week, but on the way to an away game always stop at Costa for a large Vanilla Latte, extra hot, extra shot and a black forest muffin for breakfast.

Typical work day is one coffee in the morning with 2/3 cups of tea during the rest of the day. All with 1 sugar.

Usually have small cup of water after each hot drink too.

I'm already on to my 2nd cup and I've only been awake since 10.30. Can't start the day without it.

1. Nescafé
I had a cup of coffee at the football last night. A couple of teaspoons of Nescafe and hot water from an urn. £1.
It tasted terrible but as I joked to the fella serving me "Don't care what it tastes like, it's just something to keep you warm, isn't it?"* I am such a joker.
* - it was cold last night.

2. Batchelors Cup a Soup - Creamed Vegetable
I try not to drink too much crap coffee, and in the absence of bovril (I know, I've written to my MP) I had a sachet of Batchelors Cup of Soup (also £1). It was surprisingly nice considering it looked like a paper cup full of warm sick.

I drink 3-5 mugs of green tea each day. One mug of the stuff is essential before I get in the car and drive to work each morning. And a second mug is normally required upon my arrival at work before I start looking at anything.

Coffee I save for when I really need a kick up the arse, long distance driving or late night working, so maybe one a week average.

Normal tea is ok, but green tea is far superior.

Funny I should spot this thread just as I start sipping a mug now.

Currently enjoying a mug of Lemsip. Enjoyment being slightly tempered by the realisation that I've paid an inordinate amount of money for some powdery paracetemol and phenylephrine hydrochloride (whatever the fuck that is) in order to alleviate some cold symptoms. Think it's 1-0 Reckitt Benckiser on this one
