If they manage to keep De Gea and bring in a CB, CM and striker I think they'll win the title next season.

EDIT: I know the same could be said for a few clubs, but United have the financial muscle to make sure those players are top quality.

this is a great point, whereas the best player ever in the whole wide world is going to the USA and they will be worse, going to be great :D

I'm not sure even Liverpool of all clubs have enough players nasty, racist, or violent enough to be docked enough points to finish 266000 points below United next season. They'll be below United of course, but probably by a little less than that.

So certain, once Liverpool get Milner and Danny Ings there will be no stopping them! :D

Milner would be a very good signing for Liverpool to be fair, I have to say I don't understand why clubs like Liverpool, United and City are supposedly going in for Ings based on what I've seen of him but he is only 22 and they are probably better placed to judge him than I am!

Aye Milner will be a good signing providing you lot don't nick him once more! :D

Haven't seen enough of Ings tbh, though I hope he is only going to be a backup striker with Liverpool trying for a truly decent one, and then they'd have Ings, Origi, Sturridge (if he ever gets fit again) and whoever the main target striker they get. They'll probably go in for someone else to replace Sterling too.

They'll compete again I feel it in my water! May even finish ahead of you lot once more, there is no certainty that Manoo will be all that much better next season imo.

How many 'fucks' do you give how many points separate Man U and Liverpool?

Origi is dogshit. Liverpool have a decent young team, they will be challenging for the top 4. If they get in I don't think it'll be at United's expense though. City need a big summer, don't be fooled by their recent run against crap teams. Whenever they've faced a good team in good form they've been turned over. Liverpool should be targetting them.

Agree. Especially considering they could let Balotelli go this summer.

Can't see them challenging for the title next year but perhaps the year after next.

As for finishing ahead of Liverpool, unless Rodgers brings in actual quality, rather than playing that fucking clown Lallana every game, United will 100% finish at least 10 clear.

United will finish above Liverpool, but they will be challenging for top 4 place again. Challenging for the title? Must be a joke.
Remember United fans saying they will win the treble this season after winning Pre-Season trophy?

I think Arsenal and Chelsea will be too good to catch next year but questions have to be asked of Manoo and City whether they can build and push on.

top 4 next year
Man Utd
Chelsea
City
Arsenal (as always)
but everything depends on transfers.. although Chelsea could win the title with the same team next year, everything is possible.

Securing Depay before the window is even open for business shows what United are willing to do to secure the players the squad needs - and we certainly need a few more to be anywhere near competitive in terms of the title. Even if everything falls into place perfectly transfer wise, however, with an established Jose team strengthening further I just don't see any other outcome but for them to retain it as Arsenal tend to only show up for half a season at a time.

Rodgers has to get his signings right, the past season has been arguably a complete waste relative to what had been achieved the previous year. Gonna be difficult for them to attract the sort of talent they'd need while competing in the market with two of the current top four needing sizable re/build jobs, and the other two who will also probably sniff around for solid deals.

I'll say 12pts :box:

Don't think Depay is the kind of signings United need. Heard that he usually plays as a left winger? They already have the most expensive player in that position and also Ashley Young, who is one of the 5 players who carried them back to top 4 this season. Typical LVG signing.

Ha! United fans still obsessed with Liverpool when realistically you should be worrying about how many points you'll be finishing below Chelsea, Arsenal and City next season.

And you'll be doing the same, only adding in one or two teams, including United.
