A few months ago I'd have been shitting bricks at the prospect of this game, but now we go into it Hull have no wins in their last six and we've picked up the third most points in the division since the departure of Cotterill.

Korey Smith is still having treatment it seems, but it would be a massive boost to see his name on the bench.

Can only think we're going to get overrun in midfield here, Hull have some proper physical powerhouses in the middle and I worry in particular for Bobby Reid, if he starts I think this will be his biggest test yet.

RoD
Matthews - Flint - Baker - Golbourne
Pack - Bryan
Reid
Tomlin - Codger - Odemwingie
I predict a very poor away following and a 2-0 loss. Would love to be proven wrong.

500 tickets sold pre game which is hardly poor for our second longest trip of the season to a place where a good result is unlikely.

Anything we get is a bonus. Good news is, Fulham and MK are playing so if we win we will be at least 8 clear of the drop and even if we lose we can't be less than 5 clear!

I'm gonna say a 1-1 draw, Hull on a poor run of form at the moment and with us on a good run of form I do think we can pick up at least a point from this.

Nope, not on a Saturday. But then again, I'm in no position to comment given I'm saving my pennies for Brentford. Fair play to the travelling few.

Same here. Been to Hull a few times (at the KC and Boothferry park) and never seen us win there so can't be arsed if I'm being honest.
I understand it's being shown live overseas so there should be a stream somewhere.
Even though we're in good form and Hull seem to have hit a bit of a blip of late plus a fair few of theirs have been travelling throughout the international break, I would still take a point. Good side are Hull.
1-1.

Fancy us to get a result here. I'm actually really confident.

So we will lose. Pretty sure they'll be a stream of this somewhere.

Exactly. And don't ask me, I'm not going, haha. Train prices are ridiculous anyway.
Booked ours to your place yesterday, managed to get it for £48 so can't complain.

Is that direct? Pretty good if so. They're running trains to the capital for £15 every other Saturday from here, Brentford happens to be one of them so result on that front.

Split tickets at Brum and Cheltenham.

Train tickets in the UK are so laughably overpriced that I'm surprised anybody ever uses them to travel to away games. Beijing is a six hour journey from where I live and I can get there for 30 squid return. 90 minute return from Bristol to London is about double that unless you can find a cheap fare well in advance. And the train might not turn up on time and you could be standing in a corridor. Utter joke.

Anyway, I find the discussion on away attendances pretty dull if I'm honest. We don't travel well up north and never have - So what? All that concerns me is getting a result.

Kodjia misses a one on one and they go up the other end and score. *sigh*

Turned the stream off. Bryan looked good, not much else positive to say.

Does anyone remember WWE when you always got some unknown random guy to turn up and get beat without a whimper by the likes of the undertaker and stone cold? That's what we are when we play teams like Hull, Burnley and Brighton. Utter cannon fodder!

4-0 has to be our most common scoreline this year.

Just watched a stream of the game, absolutely no complaints about the result. We were poor but well played Hull.
That DID look like a top side against a bottom side TBH. We cannot play like that on Tuesday.
Fair play Tigers!

Confident I said

Glad we got a game Tuesday to bounce back with. Sounded shambolic but no ground gained so no need to panic.

I said in the OP I worried for our midfield and particularly Bobby Reid given what I've seen of Hull's midfield this season and it was justified - well, at least for the first 40 minutes I watched anyway. Bobby Reid looked like a boy out there yet again, he just gets shoved off the ball far too often. Bryan looked okay with the ball but without the same problems came about. I still don't want him as a central midfielder, and I'm still not convinced by Reid. I can accept inconsistency at such a young age, but it's not that he's playing badly out there it genuinely looks like he's being bullied.

Ah well, we're used to the occasional hammering. Watched it on the stream. I thought at half time Johnson would change it up completely as he did v Fulham, we were struggling hugely with our shape, notably Baker and Flint who were continuously being dragged out to a fullback position every time Hull attacked. Credit Hull though they pressed us very highly. Snodgrass always tears us a new one, hopefully it's another 3 years before we have to face him again.

Onto the Warnock 0-1 shithouse masterpiece on Tuesday then..

Of course it has. There's every right to question Reid, as well as other players. Against a robust, powerful midfield in this division he's completely out of his depth at this level. No disputing.

You could ask questions of Golbourne for their second, O'Driscoll for their fourth etc but since joining they've been generally pretty solid for us. Reid has a good game now and again but I wouldn't be upset in the slightest if we don't keep him on in the summer.

Come on mate I know he was a shit manager but he's been gone for 2 and a half years.
