This will be my first trek up to Hull and visit to their ground, always great to tick a new one off the list. Weather permitting of course, very early start in the morning to give ourselves a bit more traveling time. And if we just end up getting up there and into a pub earlier, then oh well.
Both teams concede goals at the best of times, and both are struggling to put a fit defence together this weekend, as I gather Hull have injury issues. For our part we've lost Nathan Ake back to Chelsea who's been excellent, Simon Francis is suspended, Marc Wilson is injured (although that might be a blessing) and I'm not sure I want to see Brad Smith wear a Cherries shirt again in a while. We're down to recalling Cargill from his loan at Gillingham, although I imagine only as cover. I think the back 4 picks itself and will likely include Tyrone Mings in at centre back partnering Cook. Smith must return to his normal right back position and we pray that Daniels comes back in at left back.
I would encourage everybody to take money off the bookies with both teams to score.
Yeah I know it'll be 0-0 now.
In attack after some weird cockup with Congo we finally have Benik Afobe available again weeks after he pulled out of ACON. Jack Wilshere will come back in just behind the front. The more we can get those two linking up the better I feel. Wilson/Afobe is a toss up but at the moment I'd slightly favour Afobe. The awesome Fraser is injured sadly, but Stanislas should be in.
Sitting 9th in the table remarkably at the moment considering the issues we've had lately. And starting here our upcoming run of games on paper could be a good chance to gather more points. But a lot will depend on how Mings settles into that defence. Hull will be playing for a new manager so I'd expect their players to be up for it. Score draw?
