Never won a thing his whole career, at any team, ever.

Yet the scousers have us believe he is the messiah, its time they put their cards on the table, no league this year, no league cup, maybe Europa or FA Cup, but if none of those, I call for the LFC fans to join me in calling for Brendan to do the honourable thing......

If that's the case mate, then they should fire everyone in the organisation..As they haven't won anything all these years, and they are not about to in the next few as well..

some great points there, he seems a bit of a fraud, but if he says " character " and " battled all the way " then they love him

I guess we ought to be pleased they are so stupid to be fair :D

If only SAF had done the honourable thing and fucked after three trophyless years I'd have been ecstatic.

I was going to say the same thing but he did do well in Scotland breaking down the Old Firm's grip up there and winning in Europe so you can't really say he didn't have some sort of pedigree. If Bacon Face had taken over in the modern era though, he would have been sacked after 3 seasons, no doubt about it.

If he gets them anywhere near a top-four finish and puts up a decent run in either of the cups, he should be given time. This summer will be vital for him to rectify his poor transfer market reputation—re-building the midfield post-Gerrard and finding suitable cover for Sturridge will be telling. Offload Lovren and have another go at a CB, too.

If LVG misses out on top four this season as is looking increasingly likely then he should be fired. I foresee Rodgers lasting longer at Liverpool than the second chosen one at legoland.

Liverpool seem to be really getting there. I think they'll have a storming second half of the season.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Liverpool don't rush into sacking managers like that. They're not Manchester United.

If we have a decent finish to the season and finish at least 6th, I can't see him being sacked. Decent runs in the cups will only help is case.

He's managing Liverpool, a club who've done nothing more than win silverware sporadically for the past two decades. Not trying to be a WUM but just telling a truth.

I think he needs to win something, but after coming so close to winning the league last season on a budget that didn't match anywhere near what City and Chelsea were spending he should be allowed time to build the club up. This season seems a bit of a write off, but he needs to finish strongly. He's rearranged the team quite a bit this season and so you can see it's taken time for him to work out who should be playing where and in what system. Come the Summer they really need to look to bring in a big, game changing forward otherwise you'd question if he'll ever get the job done.

He's always had a decent budget, it's just that he's pissed the majority of it up the wall. The summer of 2012 for example... he spent £28 million on Borini, Allen and Assaidi. June 2013 he spent £23 million on Alberto, Aspas and Mingolet. And obviously his more recent dealing are fresh in the memory. £212.38 million spent in 2 and a half years. Seems like a bloody good budget to me.

So why does this come out now? I get it, its matchday! What a load of nonsense, Carroll was never fit at Liverpool and didn't fit into Rodgers style; the drivel coming out here is a rather petty way of getting attention.

I wouldn't call it nonsense. There's a way to tell someone they're not wanted, if what Carroll describes is true then that's not the way to go about it

Its sour grapes from Carroll, nothing more. He was anonymous yesterday as well, much like his time on Merseyside.

I find it hard to believe Carroll's version of events. First of all, if what Carroll says is true, then Rodgers is a moron. To tell someone they'll be starting every week, then 10 minutes later on the phone tell him he needs to leave is just farcical. To do it repeatedly as Carroll claims is beyond absurd.

Admittedly I've not spent a great deal of time in the Liverpool dressing room, but Rodgers certainly doesn't come across as an idiot, and the majority of players who've played under him speak very highly of him.

Just look at his trophy record - none, ever.

That tells you all you need to know

I started typing a response explaining how 'lack of trophies' doesn't equate to stupidity.

Then I thought that might be a waste of my time.
