"Big" club to follow - Leeds. However, as they're far more likely to be liquidised than us, I'll nominate Hull as first reserve.

Non-league club to support upwards through multiple promotions (or downwards to play Stockport) - Goole Town. Or maybe Lowestoft.

Local team to watch when no decent Top Gear repeats are on "Dave" - Bury (or Ramsbottom United if an interesting steam engine is in use on the local preserved railway. ..)

To be just as screamingly irrelevant as they are now - Oldham.

Strictly League One. I'd want free TARDIS transport to get thare, but Colchester United's youngsters may be worth following.

'Kinell...

FC Tinpot of Moston and FC Litterpicker of Kingston are battling for #2/#3 on my list of clubs to buy, close and generally liquidate.

Altrincham remain at #1...

What? Leave Altrincham alone!

I really don't understand why people would consider supporting that horrible lot of FCUM though.

Stamford or St Neots for me. Both decent little local non-league teams.

My local non league side FD. Been down there a few times, Goole may have little going for it but it never seems dull down at the VPG.

No idea, Nantwich Town kind of makes sense as a lot of Crewe would go their. But something doesn't quire sit right with me and them.

I think I'd provably tick off a few new grounds and wait for the kids to grow but a little and take them to watch whom ever they decide to follow. Although my eldest is mad on Chelsea atm (here's hoping its just a faze) and he's mascot for Crewe vs Walsall in a few weeks so hopefully that breaks it.

If anyone isn't a fan of simulation or unprofessional tactics then may I suggest Port Vale as your alternative club?

At Vale Park, a dive, cheeky elbow or any sort gamesmanship results in the instant termination of a player's contract and you also get to play with Tom Pope, the most honest and caring footballer ever who wouldn't hurt a fly.

I'd carry on keeping an eye out on arsenals results as my family has roots in North London, but if I moved back to bristol I would watch mangotsfield, bristol manor farm and Hallen afc- all teams i used to see when I didn't have money to watch city. Even if I stayed out here in Wales i would keep on checking their results and seeing them if they are in the area and make the occasional journey into bristol/to wherever they are playing to see them

Bristol Rovers.

Yes I am being serious.

Yes, yes I really am being serious!

I support City because I'm from Bristol and they are my nearest club, without City, Rovers would become my nearest errr.....league club. (OK, but you know what I mean.)

I couldn't support a team from another town/city because I would have no feel or affiliation for the place.

So yes, SERIOUSLY, it would be Rovers.

HOWEVER..........it 'aint gonna happen, so the Gashead scum can FUCK RIGHT OFF! :fing:

Nobody really. Maybe I would take on some sort of voluntary press officer role with a local non-league club as a bit of fun and follow them, but I'm not sure.

Wouldn't and couldn't pick another league side.

Watched Corby Town a fair few times since I moved down, so I'd probably buy a Season Ticket there. Great little set-up, largish covered terrace, decent style of football and you cannot beat their square-sausage burgers.

'Mon the Steelmen!

If I still lived in Kent, I'd pick Sheppey United.

I'd support East Stirling in jock land as they are really shit and have finished bottom or near bottom for so many years I feel sorry for them, apart from Covs result I always then check East Stirling's result.

In England I'd go non league like a few on here and as my roots are in the Brackley area ,and I used to play for them in their United Counties days in the eighties , I would follow them.
Plus I'd have somewhere to stay after a few beers as my family still live there

Been watching quite a few Gosport games recently, so probably them. Don't really mind Portsmouth but I couldn't bring myself to supporting them on a regular basis, a few games here and there is more than enough.
