Orient season ticket holders can watch their game at Exeter tomorrow for free, thanks to some benefactor. Not sure what that means for our income

So do I.

Looking forward to next season back in the Conference where we will be 'Big Fish' again. It's the only thing I'm looking forward to about being down there though. The pitches and refs are worse than in Div 4.

From financial meltdown to a promotion charge - how Bolton were reborn

Good article this. Interesting comment regarding iFollow. Nice to see articles of the club in a positive light after recent years.

The fruits are significant. For the first time in an age, Bolton can no longer be described as a crisis club. Management, directors and players are united. After being routinely sneered at by the previous owner, the Supporters Trust is in fruitful communication with the new chair Sharon Brittan. And the fans are flocking back, if not yet in person then to watch games online: Bolton have the fifth highest number of subscribers to the iFollow service in the entire EFL.

March away fixtures:

Newport County - 3,212
Carlisle United - 2,923
Scunthorpe United - 2,965
Colchester United - 2,120

Following the losses at Newport, Carlisle and Scunny, Saturday’s take-up at Colchester took an almighty dive compared to recent weeks.

I’m sure the club will announce the full breakdown for March shortly - bet you can’t wait. :D

The number's seem to be going higher every month. Have Bradford issued figures all season. ? If so what is the averages of the figures you have for home and away ? Also what is the season highest paid single stream home and away,. Still no figures from Bolton .

Yeah, they’ve been incredibly transparent with it all, tbh. We had a fans forum recently and our CEO mentioned that we were around 4th in the table for overall sales up until around November - but we’re currently second behind Bolton.

Had the season started in November, we would’ve been top - just purely down to actually competing in games.

Highest home sales so far is around the 1,300 mark - low in comparison to most clubs, but we do have 9,500 season ticket holders. It’s fair to say that our game against Bolton the other week will have had an online audience of 20,000+.

Highest away sales stands at around 3,300ish - but we have been selling around 3,000 on average for a fair few weeks, now.

We play Stevenage at the weekend, and I imagine we’ll smash the 3,300 figure.

I probably could work out the season average, but I honestly can’t be arsed. Given the transparency, I presume the club will provide a full breakdown at season end. If not, I’ll do the deeds - no problem.

That is just pure speculation that you would have been top since November as Bolton have not released their figures so you can't know that. Your home sales would definitely be lower than Bolton's as the one figure I got from this site was Grimsby which was higher than your highest (1210 against us) and that was when we were in the bottom eight.

I would also have expected Bolton's away figures to have gone up considerably since the improvement in form and the continuation of lockdown.

To say you had 20.000 watching the Bolton match is also just an opinion what cannot be prove or disproven but not all your 9039 season ticket holders (not 9500) would have a separate stream as some would be families and live in the same houses.

Well, it’s not pure speculation, is it? All viewing figures are relayed back to the FA, who make the figures accessible to every club. Just because your figures are not in the public domain, like ours are, doesn’t make Ryan Spark’s projection “pure speculation”.

He’s basing his projection on iFollow tickets sold from our upturn of form; suggesting that we’ve sold more tickets than you during this period - hence his projection.

I’m honestly struggling to understand your point regarding home sales.

We typically sell 14,000-20,000 season tickets, depending on form and league we’re in. If sales are down by 4,500 this season, it’s fair to say that 4,500 fans are most probably sharing an IFollow stream. This isn’t unusual, this happens at every club up and down the country. So, using this principal, you could estimate that there could be circa 14,000 fans watching our home games. Given the additional 1,300 sold for the game against Bolton, alongside your streams sold - who also have people sharing the same stream, why is a 20,000+ iFollow audience being questioned? It’s very much a distinct possibility.

Can’t believe I’ve just spent 3 minutes writing that.

Absolutely right GTF. I would expect Bolton to sell more than us and us to sell more than you. SO WHAT!!

No chance of us announcing our figures. We still haven't done our accounts from two years ago.

Just seen this post, can't believe you got so defensive. It wasn't a fact that Bradford sold more in that period of the season as Bolton had an upturn in form and sales would have gone up. I read that an estimated 4,000 Bolton fans paid for the stream at Grimsby . Also the 20.000 viewers against Bolton was also just an opinion. Interesting only 4500 Bradford season ticket holders streamed the Barrow game as below, In fact only 4000 Bolton season ticket holders streamed our game against them, But as I was trying to say not all season ticket holders have a separate stream because some live in the same house. That's why I was saying it was unlikely 20.000 Bradford fans had watched that game. And to be fair the Bradford fan was also cock waving which is what these away attendance threads are an excuse for aren't they ?

Barrow’s League Two games were watched by an average online audience of just under 2,000 during the 2020/21 campaign, iFollow figures have revealed.

A cumulative total of 84,626 fans logged-on to watch The Bluebirds in action across their 46 fixtures, which brings the average figure to 1,840.

The most-watched Barrow game of the season was at Bolton Wanderers in February where 6,410 people were streaming live on iFollow, while 6,047 watched our trip to Bradford City the previous month.

Home games were streamed by an average of 1,599 fans, though it should be considered that supporters were allowed into the stadium for games against Salford City, Cheltenham Town and Tranmere Rovers which saw a natural drop in online viewing figures.

Our highest online attendances for games at The Progression Solicitors Stadium both came in October when 3,126 watched our meeting with Bolton and then 2,317 logged-on for Bradford’s visit.

Throughout the course of the campaign, an average of 565 Season Ticket holders watched our home games online – though this figure rises to 620 if you only consider those played behind closed doors.

Away from home, our highest virtual travelling support was the 698 which cheered the lads on online at Carlisle United in October – a figure matched for our crucial victory at Walsall in March.

Our average away ‘following’ during 2020/21 works out at 539.

Incredible from Bradford, to be fair.

Utterly pathetic from Salford.

Our article above states that the club keeps all £10 this season, not £8.34 as you state above

Yeah, but you have to pay the VAT to hector on the £10, unless you have got an arrangement with him like Southend.

EFL released a few statistics earlier.

Highest viewed clubs over the course of the season in L2:

1) Bolton
2) Bradford

Bolton haven’t released any figures in particular, just that the away games in the last couple of months averaged over 5,000 subscriptions.

All said and done, can’t wait till we’re back in ground rather than watching on iFollow.

Further to Firthy's claim that Bradford would have sold more i follow passes if the season had started in November it was in the Bolton News that Bolton sold double the amount of Bradford match passes as below (there were difficulties with the Lincoln match so that's why it was in the paper).

The EFL has now launched an investigation and could update supporters via a statement in the next few days to inform them of the next step.

Wanderers were one of the most watched clubs in the EFL last season on iFollow despite playing in League Two, registering more than twice the number of match passes purchased than their nearest rival in the division, Bradford City.

The Bolton News understands that the club will not be left out of pocket after last night’s technical issues.
