We have a very winnable run of 4 games now, ironically under the resurgence of Warnock this is now the fixture I have the most concerns about - what a difference a few weeks mate!

Still think we should be winning the game but won't be taking anything for granted. I'll go for an optimistic 2-1.

Theres no point in me trying to predict whats gonna happen because we're the most unpredictable side in the league, all i know is if Ipswich do win they will have earned it because we're making the opposition work very hard which is all we can ask for. Id take a draw but i reckon a narrow defeat for us is the likely outcome.

It's probably just me but I don't see anything in the Ipswich side that scares me and I'm shocked they're so high in the table, I mean that's opitimised with Pringle coming straight into their side who for me last season looked so out of his depth its unreal.

Fancy a score draw.

There a steady side though throughout the team without any standout quality, there always gonna be well organized under McCarthy aswel because he's one of the better managers in the division.

I'm not really sure that well organised label applies any more, our defensive record is about the worst in the top half. We're basically good at winning by attrition, grinding opposing teams down until we force errors. If Rotherham set up to defend, as I suspect they will, then it's going to be an awful game to watch.

We certainly are not an organised side, haven't been for a long time! Must win to keep up the pressure.

Just hope we start well as that's been our undoing this season. Very few first half goals since the turn of the year. I just also hope we play our own game rather than match the other team. We had not played a diamond midfield all season until Blackburn rocked up with theirs and Mick matched them.

Closer to the day it gets the more I'm convincing myself we'll nick it.

Freddie Sears, an overweight Brett Pitman and Ben Pringle don't scare me one bit.

Leon Best in last 15 minutes to win 1-0.

Nah we'll definitely score. It's just whether we concede or not.

Brett Pitman's size is deceiving - he always looked a fat bastard when he played for us and our fanbase would only mention it when we lost, but he still found the back of the net. He played at ours a couple of months back and still looks the same size, but again scored.

Good player in this division, I'd have him back. FWIW I wouldn't mind Rotherham getting a share of the points here, I've got £20 on with my mate that Ipswich don't finish top six.

Sears may not be scoring many right now but I wouldn't under estimate what else he offers us. By far one of our best players of the season.

Need to drop the diamond by the sounds of it. Feeney & Pringle at at HT for Douglas & Pitman hopefully.

EDIT: Substitution, Ipswich Town. Liam Feeney replaces Jonathan Douglas.

FairPlay Rotherham. Have to admit, after we thumped you 4-1 I didn't think you had a prayer, you were horrendous.

Amazing what can be done by bringing in an English manager with experience and knowledge of the football league, our board might work it out one day.

Mick's seriously losing it, I'm just out of words now.

Only Feeney can come out of that with his head held high and he started on the bench!

Have to agree Bobbin. It was just you either, we also lost to Bolton, though you hammering us 4-1 at home did seem to underline our hopelessness. The last few weeks feels like a dream.

I'm convinced since your return someone else is using your account mate, you're beginning to chat sense!

Nice prediction and a cracking result. What a superb run you've been on recently.

Most frustrating game I've seen in a long time. First off, credit to Rotherham - they came with a game plan and executed it perfectly. They defended well and the last 20 minutes was a masterclass in the dark arts: niggly little fouls to break up the play, time wasting, etc (and I mean that as a compliment).

As for Town, I felt like we started the game with more intention to pass the ball than normal, which is a good thing, and there were times in the first half where we put decent moves together. But if that was the plan, then the team selection didn't match it. Why no Bru in midfield? I think Mick made exactly the right change at half time, Feeney made an instant impact and the first 15 minutes of the second half was the only time I felt like we were going to score. It got a lot worse after Pitman went off, Pringle didn't really do anything and we lost momentum, then Feeney switched sides even though he was very effective down the right. The last part of the game was hoof ball at its worst, we looked completely devoid of ideas and Rotherham were pretty comfortable defending it.

I'm not a McCarthy hater, but I do understand why people don't like him. The most annoying thing for me is not that he gets his tactics wrong, it's that they're incoherent and he doesn't seem to recognise what things are working well.

I just don't know where to lie the blame really.

January 2015 we sat second and had a perfect opportunity to build the team but instead we sat still and ended up falling backwards, nearly missing play offs.
This year, we were 6th and sat still again, in fact lost players, and we are falling again.

Is it a lack of investment or is Mick genuinely happy with the team?

And then there is the devoid tactics, favourites who walk into the team and square pegs in round holes.

To top it off, they are charging me more next season (on top of already expensive tickets) for the privilege!
