Absolutely no chance of us getting anything here. An in-form hoofball team will condemn us to our third defeat of the season.

Ipswich 1-0 Derby

I don't know why but I just see this fixture every year as a certain loss, I'm not even sure if Ipswich are a bogey a team, especially in recent years.

We're going to have to battle for this one. I'd take a point.

We've only won one of the last eight at home while Derby are in great form, it's hard to see us winning this. I'd certainly take a draw, but I think we'll lose. 1-2

Not really, since McCarthy's been in charge it's two wins for Ipswich, one for Derby and two draws.

Similarly, I'd take a draw. Fortress PR has been creaking recently.

I've just seen our recent record of matches played in December, which makes me a bit more confident: DWWWWDDWDWDWWWLWW.

I'm expecting an unchanged team again, with the possible of exception of Fraser replacing Maitland-Niles. If Fraser is on the bench, hopefully Mick won't wait until the last 15 minutes to make changes like he normally does.

Great opportunity to pull away from 7th after Cardiff lost last night! But I'm not too confident either!

If we score early, we will not doubt sit back but I just can't see this defence holding off Derby! I think we'll need 2 goals

Don't worry, you have this. This fixture appears to alternate between win and defeat, and you lost it last season.

I wouldn't rule out us needing 3 or 4!

Out of interest, this fixture is showing up on a few stream sites this afternoon. Chances? Edit: 3 links up now, waheyy! :)

Difficult to see from the stream as to whether that should have been a foul in the build. Question marks over Gerken being beaten by that aswell dispute a small nick on the way through.

Derby not particularly worthy of being ahead but neither are we.

Christ Rammy didn't realise you were given the team talk with your opening post! Only been one hoof ball team so far!

I wouldn't go that far... Martin has been schooled all day so far by Smith & Berra. You've had zero joy from long balls, football league commentator say's it's futile. Tinted specs from your commentators, me thinks.

Probably. As long as we win, I don't really care. ;)

Ipswich started the second half the much better side by the sounds of it.

Welcome back Ryan Fraser.

We're applying pressure, Derby yet to really find a foothold.

Here comes Varney.

Football can be so frustrating. We've completely nullified Derby for all but 60 seconds of the match and begun consistantly asking questions yet still find ourselves behind. Why do I see this finishing 0-1?

Good second half performance from the lads.

Great win. Big three points!

Sounded all Ipswich in the second half, but if they don't get a shot on target, they won't score. Simple as that.

Sounds like we had all the chances in the second half so it's disappointing not to get anything.

Seems to be lots of fans passed off with Derby on Twitter, anyone know why?

Our defending this season is nearly as good to watch as our attacking play. The addition of Jason Shackell this summer is probably our best bit of business, he's not only an upgrade on Jake Buxton but he's getting the most out of Richard Keogh too who is having a brilliant season himself. So resolute, 7 clean sheets in 9 now. #beavers

Fantastic three points, autos for Christmas. That'll do. Looking forward to getting down to the iPro on Boxing Day.

Really frustrating half of football! All the play, just wouldn't get the ball in the box.

Not really impressed with Derby to be fair. Ref was poor. To be honest I haven't got anything good to say about the game :doh:even the turnout from both fans was below par!

From what I've seen;

Because we're shit, paid the ref, employ the ref, brought said ref on our team bus, we cheat, we time waste, we sit back, we play hoof ball, we're dirty, Tom Ince could have killed him, we're not as good as Boro and so on....

The #ITFC timeline is a good read.

I've now seen 'cheating, diving, time wasting and whinging at the ref'. No idea how true any of those things are, but don't often see this level of moaning.

I really don't rate Martin at all. I know it's ridiculous given his magnificent goal scoring record, but he's playing in a team with by far and away the best individual attacking players in the league, and gets some sublime service.

He may well be a decent finisher, but I think there are quite a few all round better strikers than him in this division.

Diving, more first half than second to be honest
Time wasting, to be expected
Whinging with the ref, every 5 minutes! Berra whinged once and was booked!
