What a game before the international break, with us still looking for our first win.

I expect to see Walters come straight in up top, with the either Bathh/McCauley too with Nsiala's 3 match ban upheld. Failing those two, it would time for Wolife to step up.

Happy to go on record that there's no way we concede 4 IMO.

More concerned about nil for 1 or 2 with us not troubling your back line.

Step up Jon Walters?

It has to be the worst two sides to play this game for a while. Both bang out of form. I think we're underperforming and have the potential to step it up. Not sure about your new side as most are unproven lower league players, maybe their just needing a few games to settle in.

My actual thoughts are it'll be 1-1

I see there’s no Toto in the squad, so I presume he lost his appeal?
One of the most ridiculous red cards I’ve ever seen that, wins the ball cleanly and gets sent off. The FA are complete wankers.

Really good second half performance, Pennington, Edwards and Walters were all superb.

Norwich looked really poor, except an excruciatingly effective long ball out the left flank that Krul made all day without us managing to deal with it properly even once. Perhaps that says more about us than them. Another positive, Rhodes completely anonymous for the 79 minutes he remained on the pitch. Quickly becoming a journeyman, and always a c***.

We'll finish above them & a handful of other sides this season I'm sure. Both sides will finish below 15th. The win would have been great of course but cause for optimism going into the break- we have 2 weeks to properly bed in all 13 new signings and for Hurst to find his best 11. We move on.

Yep, absolute farce. 3 game ban stands.

Thought a draw was a fair result. We were the better side in the first half, Ipswich the better in the second but neither team looked particularly good.

I actually thought Rhodes played well in the first half. Put himself about and created a few openings that weren't exploited. It was tough for all attackers though as the referee seemed to decide that whenever an attacker won a ball in the air that it was a foul. Don't think the referee helped the quality of the game at all, was very whistle happy.

Agreed on the referee. Thought he blocked the flow of the game on several occasions with questionable decisions.

Think both sides will end up fine and out of danger. Doubt either will exceed those expectations.

He won the ball but the follow through was dangerous.

Not really, the picture after he played the ball is studs on 1FF's shin, the modern game says that's a red, not that I would agree with the softening up of football mind.

No, it's never a red. Tackle was clean and clear and he was first to the ball. Contact on the player afterwards is as much to do with an onrushing attacker as it is anything to do with Nsiala.

By the laws of the game and common sense, it's rescinded.

Fortunately Pennington had a cracking debut in his place. Still a joke, though.

Opinions vary, I think the follow through is worthy of red. But I know better than to argue with a mod/owner ;)
