Interesting point about versatility. I was trying to weigh up whether it was a negative, but given that Sterling wasn't very good when filling in at wingback I think I agree with you on that. Firmino will at least be kept in a position where he'll actually be useful (Rodgers brainwaves notwithstanding).

Honestly think it would be crazy of you to sign Benteke. You need someone who can get involved in the interplay between your hoard of fleet footed attacking mids, not someone to attack crosses. His goalscoring record is good but so was Lambert's.

Agree 100%. Even though I highly rate him as a player, Benteke doesn't remotely fit Rodger's system. Bacca (though I haven't seen him play that much) sounds as though hes far better suited to the type of attacking football we play.
