If anyone can he will. Your situation seems similar to what ours was on relegation. So long as the owner backs the manager and stays out of football decisions he'll have you right. Will never not wish DC anything but the best.

Huge club Schalke all be it not doing very well, only just avoided relegation to 3.Liga!

What the Argyle fans were annoyed with is not where he’s gone, Schalke would be a top 6 club in terms of size in the UK. But rather how he’s done it.

Assuring our chairman he’s going nowhere after phone calls between them, being involved in meetings with Stewart Webber and David Fox regarding recruitment, and then once Schalke came calling, just turned into a complete cock and leaving us with no choice but to either take a lower compensation package than the clause in his contract, or be forced to take him and Schalke to court, meaning we wouldn’t be able to hire anyone else whilst that process was ongoing. For such a massive club they couldn’t even stump up €1.2 million for him.

The bloke is a complete charlatan. Glad that mess is over to be honest.

Looks like Wilshere, Evatt and Buckingham are all interested in the job, although to be honest, I’m not sure I’d take any of them.

We started well last season and the early form was good but we lacked a real striker which didn’t help us .

You’ll probably be fine if you have one of those as Tom does like wide players and encourages attacking full backs .

The only issue was our build up play was very slow and predictable at times but then I think all teams seem to be heading that way tbh .

Right move. We played shit defensive grindball under him last season, and shit tiki taka this season, proving equally inept at both.

I suspect he's a decent #2, but is not a head coach, hasn't got the personality or man management skills to do that.

Michael Duff got the job - he’s had pretty mixed reviews to be honest, but he’s got an incredibly low benchmark to be compared with, so as long as we stop playing powderpuff poor man’s Pepball, he’ll look like a world saver in comparison.
