I did have a copy of Louie Louie in the 60s but it was by the Kinks.

Yeah, it's not exactly up there with Get up stand up in terms of angst . Johnny Clarke's version is probably better, although that's not very rousing either.

Full circle - The Abyssinians turned up in the middle of the Hendrix tracks I was browsing tonight and sidetracked me. I hadn't realised:
