Definitely deserved the win today, good performance and a fairly comfortable one. Dagenham were alright on the ball but created barely anything, and I always thought we had another goal in us.

The Balanta goal was great, and Jabo's was decent too.

3 wins on the bounce, with some good performances to match.

The Balanta goal was great.

I let him know. The thing I've been most impressed with so far though is th the strength in depth we have. I always said of Abbot, his biggest failing was he didn't know how to build a squad. Curle most certainly does (honourable mention to Les Dykes)

Not many poor performers today, Raynes was dominant all game, and the midfield 3 were all solid.

I look forward to the York game next week now, we were a lot tighter at the back and as always we looked dangerous on the attack.

10 unbeaten at home, long may it continue.

Slightly frustrating when we're clearly the most entertaining team in the country, we still can't break 4000 fans. Need a real push to get at least 7000 in.

Raynes is getting better and better each game. Pair him with two proper centre backs, say Troy and Atkinson... or Leacock, or what the hell, Meppen-Walter and we could start getting these one goal or clean sheets, then we'll be a force to be reckoned with.

I still think we're an injury or suspension away from having a defensive crisis (if we aren't already). Need a couple of strong centre backs brought in. Like while Troy is out, we only have Raynes who you'd call a natural central defender. Forget about CMW, Curle obviously doesn't see him as a first team player these days

Today I think was a really good sign for our season as a whole. Dagenham were onto us from the start, they'd done their homework and knew what they needed to do to stop us scoring. It just wasn't good enough, we'll always find a way to notch. Big difference was we limited them to one goal. We'll never be the league's best defensive team, but more defensive performances like that and we'll outscore the opposition more often than not. Dagenham I think came across as a good side and I can see a top half finish for them this season. Well drilled organised team.

I know I don't live here and I don't know, but I'm disappointed how quiet the city is after a big win. I'd hoped it would be buzzing.

Buzzing? There was only 4k at the game!

boo... keep hearing how Carlisle is on the up and up these days. I had fun, just it was mostly solitary fun (keep your jokes to yourself)... train back out west was mayhem as usual... kind of like Jersey Shore with less class.

There was way more than 3.9k there. That attendance was complete and utter bullshit.

3.9k sounds believable to me there was visibly fewer than were at the Barnet game, and most away fans add at least 200 to the attendance. Shame though because when we were mistakenly claiming to get 6k in earlier in the season I could well believe it and thought the attendance could easily get to 7k if we can get into the top half playing the way we do.

It will take time. Greg Abbott during his 5 year reign managed to drive away about 2000-3000 regular fans with the god awful, negative attitude and shite football that his teams served up.

We'll need to get some consistency and do it for a good few months before they start to come back.

Pointless stat of the weekend. For the third season in a row we've followed our first win on the season with two more. However these occasions are the only three game winning runs we've managed in the league in 7 seasons

Sounded like we did well in the first half, but then collapsed a bit in the second. Disappointed not to get a point from the game, mind.

Very good result for us yesterday and I do believe that this could be a decent season, we did defend a lot better than previous matches but I have to ask what was Grainger doing for their goal? He looked like he hesitated and did not know whether to jump with the guy, it was a poor mistake to make.

Grainger knew Ibehre was about to be unleashed so he let the guy score a header. Only we would give a team a consolation goal before we'd even scored ourselves.

Yeah and I suppose getting a routine win instead of coming back from behind would of been a more boring win. :cool1:

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I thought personally it was a very very flat performance from us on Saturday.

We took a good 30 minutes to finally get going and for me there was too many players in walking mode which made the game extremely hard to get any sort of passing game going and I felt most of the time we only put some pressure on Dagenham through basic long-balls forward to Ibere and Asamoah who both for me played very well and caused problems.

I still think the wide men are an issue at present. curle seems to have selected his back line, selected his group of central players to rotate and his attack, but I think he is not happy with the wide positions which seem to change each week and not down to 'rotation' Kennedy on the left for me didn't work and we need someone there if he doesn't rate Brough. I suppose he is waiting for TAH to be back to shove Grainger there but we looked imbalanced for me in the game.

first half was a game of limited chances and I felt Dagenham played very well, they look much more a football side than the usual whack-job but they have next to nothing in the final third which may relegate them if not sorted. I think they deserved their lead at the time as unlike most teams we've played they defended us very well and had us restricted, hense my annoyance at the lack of movement (apart from Asamoah who covers some ground for his age) although the goal was fortunate due to our usual bad defending, but they attacked far post on most attacks and we never picked it up at all, thankfully they had nothing to capitalize on this. Was a spell where I think they had 4-5corners back to back and we never picked out a man on any of them, but their chances were restricted to that tipped over save by Gillespie.

We came back pretty much out the blue, a good finish but too much room given by them, but I think 2nd half we controlled and was a question of if we could score, the delivery for the winning goal was superb and sadly for Dagenham went to the wrong player for them. A good thing for us is we can mix up passing and long ball which is a crucial thing for winning sides, but defensively we are unable to deal with height and power so this needs work on it or we will collapse against some types of sides.

Once we had lead it never seemed in doubt which says a lot for their weak attack considering our defence still tried hard to led them score.....that ridiculous moment when we had a goal kick, played it behind the goalkeeper, messed about and 10 seconds later was a Dagenham corner showed we've work to do still.

it was better, more solid, but blander and we nearly could have lost that through taking a long time to get into game.
