They've been languishing in the 4th tier for 300 years now except for that one season where they were inexplicably in the Championship as an anomaly. Their average attendance in League Two (2682) is also lower than Stevenage, Barrow and Sutton.

Swear they only ever play night games too, don't think I've ever seen a highlight from a Scunthorpe game that took place in daylight.
It's daytime, but it's just the smog from the steelworks!

It’s permanently dark in Scunny.
And is there a mascot that evokes more disgust and fear in people than Scunny Bunny?

I remember there being rumours a year or so ago that Fullarton was in the frame for the (once again) vacant manager’s post at us.
His footballing philosophy sounds minging.

Have to laugh at the Lincoln Fan bringing up attendances, until a few years ago their home gates were worse than ours.

It was only when Hurst started boring everyone to death we dropped below 3000. When the Venture Captialists cash out the days of 8000-9000 gates at Sincil Bank May be a thing of the past.

All the charisma of a wet ironing board, and that was reflected in his football. He did have an eye for a player but just didn't know what to do with them. Was a big fan of the square peg in round holes method of team selection.

Scunthorpe will become the most tinpot brother we've ever had.
Who are the members of the Brotherhood? There may be one we are less tinpot then

Wrexham, Notts County, Stockport, Chesterfield, Grimsby, Southend and Torquay.

Torquay have smaller crowds but lots of heart, they're that family member that everyone loves visiting once a year. I won't hear a bad word said about them!

I am the sole founder, administrator and authority on The Brotherhood. Only I am authorised to answer questions. Please direct all further enquiries in this matter to myself. FYI, The Brotherhood comprises those clubs who were in the Football League in 1986 (that is to say, before the introduction of automatic relegation for the bottom clubs), regardless of their current condition or status. Membership of the Brotherhood is for all time. No member may leave, no new members may be admitted. Thank you for asking. :ds:

So clubs that don't exist anymore are members of the Brotherhood?

Like Bury, Chester, Halifax, Hereford and Aldershot?

None of those clubs exist anymore so they cannot be members.

Probably have their own phoenix thing.

Is there an expiry date of Brotherhood membership?

Surely when you've been in non-league for lets say over 10 years you become a tinpot non-leaguer.

Hopefully not something we’ll ever have to be a part of so not our call but surely it’s a bit harsh on York if they have just been cast aside?

They are in the wrong division. Once they finally come back to this level I assume they will be let in. Same thing happened with Stockport, although their years in the glue leagues will forever be a mark of shame on then.

I have explained the rules to you. Reading it again may help but if you are unable to follow what is a simple concept, I really can't help you further. Sorry. :ds:

Nobody has been cast aside. I am the SOLE authority on The Brotherhood, since I am the SOLE founder and administrator. Nobody else has authority to speak for, or make rulings on The Brotherhood, please ignore statements from other users.

Please desist from pretending you have any authority in this matter.

I've been fairly quiet on this as it is now out of our jurisdiction but as a graduate of the successful fast-track-a-proper-club-scheme (which means you get back to the FL within 20 years of relegation), The REAL Brotherhood contains Chesterfield, Wrexham, Stockport, Southend, Grimsby, Torquay, Notts. York are an associate member. Essentially there are 8 proper clubs in non league. The rest are out and out tinpotters.

Any other organisations are an imposter (such as this noncey 1986 rubbish purported by some whippet shagging, flat cap fiddler from West yorkshire) so having the likes of Aldershot in is wholly unacceptably inaccurate and is even denied by their own fans. Even FC Halifax fans by unofficial majority ballot stated they are indeed Tinpot so there we have it, case closed gents.

Nah. Only if the majority of your existence has been in Non League. So if we are still in this league for a total of 88 years we can be called tinpotters.

It'll happen, btw.

I'll add that it is totally unacceptable for brothers to get promoted in the first year of being down here. Shrewsbury, Carlisle and Bristol Rovers are forever on the wall of shame because of it.

The 89th year will definitely be Wrexham's year though.
