The big one, Dagenham vs Exeter, the one which really gets the blood pumping. Probably up there with my top away days. Last year was incredible. I'll be there.

The Daggers haven't started great and we're coming into the game off a heavy 3-0 defeat. I can see a 1-1 draw. Cureton (obviously) scoring past us.

We need to start doing the basics right. I can see another defeat unfortunately. We'll be bottom after 10 before we start clawing it back around I reckon.

Need to start brightly and not lose the midfield battles like we did Saturday.

Hoping that Noble will be back and I'd like to see Lee Holmes start after looking good on Saturday.

I reckon 1-1 is a fair shout. Brown for us and Cureton for them.

Not that I've seen us yet but by the sounds of it, there's little chance of that happening.

Wish I'd take 12/1 on us to be bottom of the league on September 1st...

Nah, you'll pick up a point on Tuesday, which should be enough to keep you above York until Christmas.

Noble and Holmes start which is great, plus Oyeleke to get his first start instead of the very slow Oakley.

Come on City.

Get in, decent win for us 2-1 although we made it difficult for ourselves by conceding so late. We NEVER keep clean sheets.

Other than that, it sounded like we were by far the best team. Harley scored a belter and Troy Brown got his first goal for us.

On to York at home now.....

Does anyone know what happened with their second goal? Let me explain...

Exeter take a corner short, it's given back to the taker who's flagged offside. Then about 20/30 seconds later Exeter get told to retake the corner, from which they put it in the box and inevitably score. Am bemused.

But, we were awful until the last ten. Fully deserved win for Exeter.

I don't think the corner was re-taken because our player was offside, obviously. It was because the ball wasn't in the quadrant.

Anyway, I thought we played okay. It would be nice if we could keep a clean sheet once in a while but it only made the game look closer than it was. Our midfield was very good at times and Oyeleke did well on his first start for us.

You can see why that Jodi Jones is being watched by so many clubs higher up the leagues. He looked a really tricky player. And only 17 as well!

Anyway I like Dagenham so I hope they do well this season but other than that Jones and obviously Cureton, they look a team lacking in quality.

One of the dullest first 60 mins ever. York came for a point and barely ventured into our box.

We stepped it up on the hour and missed some good chances. Harley had a golden opportunity which went wide, in particular.

Still, a clean sheet and still unbeaten at home, which are positives to take into Tuesdays match at Sunderland.
