So he has checked out of newport and gone back to Oldham. This may well ruin what little revival Newport had in them.

Then he's not as smart as I thought he was. He was building a decent side at L2 Newport but decides to go to a side that will be a L2 side come April.

Or he wants to be closer to home and better pay.

And a better team. Basically everything about it is better.

Why did Sheridan even go to Newport?

He's been rumoured to be leaving the place since about a week before he signed a contract there.

If Tennents Super Strength did committed football managers.

He certainly wasn't.

And why is that RB? Building a decent side doesn't necessary mean splashing cash on new players. It could also mean getting the best out of the squad and instilling confidence for instance. He certainly transformed County into a hard to beat side, contrary to when Butcher was the manager.

100% right. We knew he was likely to go in the summer anyway but the manner of his departure leaves a nasty taste. Just a few days earlier, he said all his focus was on our key games with York and Dagenham. Then he is pictured at a Costa's in Oldham Tesco with their chairman! Just hope that we can regroup, use the loan window effectively and ensure that there are at least two teams below us.

They lost 3 and drew 1 in December...so obviously not that hard to beat. He did a good job, can't fault that but they're never going to be anything other than relegation battlers with that squad. It doesn't really matter if Oldham do get relegated, he'll still be in a better position with them in the summer.

Warren fecking Feeney is the new Newport manager, blimey. Never pictured him as a leader. Mind you after watching him play I found it hard to picture him as a professional footballer either and he somehow made a career out of it.
