Now, I'm not normally one to call out about other members, but I must ask in his case, what does he contribute to the forum?

He consistently derails threads, the anti-vaxxer one being the most recent thread that he has derailed. I have reported a fair few of his posts in that thread to no avail, so now I am posting this publicly.

I am aware that he will now enter this thread and either do his best to derail it, or try to plead innocence, but I seriously do not get what contribution he offers to the forum?

I can say for myself (and from opinions gagued from other members) that he severely lowers my enjoyment of the forum, he has already been banned once for the same reasons I am stating here I believe, and he is back and doing exactly the same again. I am not here to tell you how to run, what is after all your site, however I must question the decision to keep him on board.

we shouldn't have to justify why he should stay, rather u should present proof he's broken enough rules to warrant banning. and as far as i can tell, he hasn't. derailing threads isn't a bannable offence, it just requires attentive mods (the politics board could do with a dedicated mod tbf, lot of trouble starts there). if he's been consistently offensive to u then maybe you'd have a point, but threads like this, publiclly shaming a member and calling for a banning, smells too much like tff

The best thing would be for people to ignore his WUMs tbh.

But when that doesn't happen it does kill discussion and subsequently forums. Have seen it on several other forums. It ain't just banning someone cos you don't like their views, its because they're actively working against any half-decent discussion. My recommendation would be to block jt from certain threads when they start WUMming as opposed to the whole forum

Probably a better plan, I didn't outright request a ban though, I was more asking for a consideration as to what he adds. But yes, banning from specific threads, or perhaps sections (News & CA for example), would be a better option than an outright ban, as clearly some people do enjoy his constant wumming.

Personally I wouldn't ban him from the news section as that's where the flat earth thread is and regardless of how true we think his stuff is he's not derailing the forum by posting on there. He's also not always a wum...just the occasional threads which gets tiresome

Probably also worth noting that not goading JT by mentioning the flat earth and tagging him in threads that have nothing to do with it would also be a good place to start if I'm trying to be fair....

Fuck all to do with me mush. Fwiw I've never reported any of your posts or complained to admin about you. When I've had a problem with one of your racist or offensive posts I've engaged you directly.
I don't give a fuck whether you're on the forum or not, I honestly couldn't care less. It irritates me slightly that threads you get involved in tend to descend into the JT show but meh I'll get over it.
