Chile has similar problems to Peru. They're ill disciplined, they're arrogant, they get hung over a lot and they make stupid mistakes that affect them on the pitch like Vidal crashing his car earlier this year which he got away for. Sampaoli has done an incredible job addressing these issues and turned Chile into a genuine world class team. I'm delighted he's leaving as I hate the Chilean national team and now that he's going I can see Peru, Colombia and Paraguay fighting Chile for 5th place.

Looks like he has an exit clause of 4.1M and Chelsea are going to take it.

I think he'll flop at Chelsea though as great a manager he is.

He did a great job with Chile but it will be hard to them to keep the same level without Sampaoli, that's a pity. I heard that beyond Pellegrini, Marcelo Bielsa and Eduardo Berizzo are also listed to replace him and as much as they are able to do a good job with Chile the adaption period can bring some difficulties.

For Sampaoli, he probably will get a decent job after all though his style seems kind of "different" of some european leagues, mainly the English, if he get a job there, so it's hard to predict if he'd succeed or not.

I agree with this. Sampaoli genuinely turned Chile into a world class team. Without him though it won't be the same because they were better than a lot of teams on the pitch than on paper. Spain is an example. Chile was playing much better than Spain since 2014 but Spain has a far superior squad. I honestly don't think he'd succeed in Europe though because he's managed in South America his whole career and the European game is different as well as life there.
