Belford - Does anyone need a mascot or garden gnome? RELEASE. Release off the face of the earth and then release again just to make sure.
Taylor - Sign immediately on a 2 year contract, that's if he even wants to stay which I doubt. SIGN.

DF
Hoofson - Simply not good enough for a team with promotion aspirations. OUT.
Smith - Overrated as hell, he's been part of the past few seasons failures don't forget. 50/50.
Fyfield - All you can say is that he hasn't been as bad as everyone on here said. He's still a journeyman and we need much better. OUT.
Newton - Bloke is a tool but I don't think there's too much better out there that we could attract. IN.
Carrington - One of the few in the side with some genuine quality, been the best player for months now. Definite keep. IN.
White - Barely been seen for months, tries hard but simply not good enough. OUT.
Vidal - He's an awful footballer and can see why he was at a middle of the road Conference North outfit. OUT.

MF
Fowler - The experiment hasn't worked, I'm not surprised. He's just not fit enough to play. OUT. For good this time.
Moke - I like the lad and would keep him around and he can play in a few different positions. IN.
Heslop - Had we brought him in a couple of months sooner we'd have gone closer. SIGN him.
Evans - Nice lad and all but not really good enough for where we need to be. Possible back up player. 50/50.
Briscoe - Who? Oh, that fat lad who played a few minutes against Braintree is it? RELEASE.
Jennings - Run himself into the ground all season. Definite keep, if he hasn't had enough of us that is. IN.
York - His fairly decent goal return kind of masks what he really is, a very poor footballer. OUT.

FW
Gray - A non-scoring, floppy haired, drink driver who gets eaten by spiders. RELEASE.
Beck - Yeovil, he's your problem now. Sending him back via HGV.
Jackson - See Evans. 50/50.

Sounds like Mills did an amazing job to get you as high as 8th, given that bunch of donkeys and clowns listed above. For Jamal Fyfield to not be considered one of your worst players says everything.

Only 3 decent players in that lot, Smith, Fowler and Jennings. Of those Fowler's got far too many off the field/fitness issues and Jennings is a moron. Smith's ok, but he wouldn't get in a top team in this league.

I'd happily take Jackson, seeing as we have the slowest team in the league.

I can think of at least one that's slower...

I disagree about Smith. His one weakness is that he's not very vocal. With the right partner he is easily good enough for any team in his league. We've been a top team in the past and he's easily as good as the best central defenders we've had since down here (Creighton, Knight Percival, Westwood, Riley)

Cameron Belford has confirmed he's definitely leaving, not that anyone expected (or wanted) anything different. Seems a decent guy, but he's a terrible keeper.

I agree with all of that apart from Jackson, who for me is a definite keep.

I've also got a soft spot for Hudson. I think he'll make a decent player one day. He is a bit of a Shaun Pejic though- even when he plays well he's capable o a horrendous howler.

How good was Rhead this season? The guy is an absolute donkey and the fact he's scored so many raises my hopes about our chances next season.

He should work on a building site, not be a footballer.

Rhead's a far better footballer than people think. Obviously on the face of it, he shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch but he wins 99% of headers, good first touch and is football intelligent. He's a brilliant out ball and even when triple marked at times this season he did a job. Certainly not a donkey.

He probably should have been nearer to 30 goals than the 23 he got but he was around double figures in assists, too. Whether he can do it next season as well, either here or elsewhere (no doubt Cox will be in for him again), I don't know. This has far and away been his most prolific season but he was playing second fiddle to Matt Green at Mansfield down here and isn't good enough for L2 so he's not had a proper run of games for a few years until he came here.

Quiet-ish final 15 games or so, missed a handful due to injury, but that goes for everyone else too.

I can believe all of that but the highlighted bit. When we played Mansfield last season, the guy couldn't use his feet at all. I was saying to my mate that I would have been gutted if he scored against us with his feet. Looked like he'd never kicked a ball before.

If we can keep Cook and add someone physical like Rhead (physical as in physically impossible to run around) then there will be a lot of black and blue bruised defenders after playing us next season.....

Fyfield looked by far your best defender on Saturday. Newton looked good also - think we had him on loan a few years back before he came to you...

Pretty sure we signed Newton and then he fell out with the boss (Bayliss?) after a handful of games.
And I'd agree about Fyfield - only going off the two games I've seen, he's been fantastic.

yeah thinking about it he might have been ours - I have a feeling he either came from or went to Telford before/after us - although it was quite a while ago

The only thing you guys have to think about your current squad is how many are good enough to play league football next season?

Good Question.

I'd say around 8 or 9 would walk into a FL side.

Steve Arnold, Kelly, Frear, Bennett, Guthrie, Clough Raccine Wedgbury Sinclair ect.
