Tough one to be honest. Could make a case for any of them. If Garner had been fit all season I think he might have got it, I think it will be Freeman though.

Alli is nominated for the FL Young Player Of The Year too along with Bamford and Redmond. Would be surprised if he won both that and L1 Player Of The Year, especially as he was injured for 2 months.

Joe Garner, still joint top scorer despite missing over two months.

Freeman, easily. Best individual performances this season I can remember from a league 1 player in a long while.

Those are three very good players.

Not sure they're better than Flint or Luongo, though.

Agree with Flint - he's been nominated for player of the month about 3/4 times. Although does a defensive player ever win it? Luongo has had a huge part to play in Swindon's success too.

Clearly I'm biased and Freeman has my vote (if I had one...). He has been utterly superb week in, week out.

I think Garner should win it.

This guy has been instrumental in Preston's success, more than Freeman and Ali in my personal opinion. If you look at how Preston struggled without Garner and how they did when he returned, it shows how much of an important player has been this season. He was brilliant against us both times this season. He puts him self about to causes trouble, a player you hate to play against but would love on your team.

Alli and Freeman have both have very good seasons. Alli clearly has all the attributes and skills to make it to the top and Luke Freeman has just been class. The thing is, I think if you removed those two players from their respective teams, their wouldn't be too much of a difference in their position. Plus, Garner is one of the top scorers in the league when he missed about 3 months.

Freeman. Slightly surprised Flint isn't in there.

Taking nothing away from garner, because he's a superb player.. But 2 strikers who would probably have been ahead of garner was taken out of the league in January (afobe, Doyle) but agree with how important he's been to Preston

Biased I know but I'd go with freeman, he's been so consistent this year, winning the majority of man of the matches! Flints been superb too but it's usually always attacking players who get nominated.

As I predicted last night.

Garner's been out for a lengthy period, but is still top scorer as many have said.

Alli has been superb, but I think Freeman will edge it - due to playing the full season, his amount of assists, and how consistent he has been.

Wouldn't be surprised if Alli won Young Player Of The Year - and he is a real talent, and will go onto big things.

You have to think - if Freeman wins this, we signed him for reportedly 700-800k, how much would he be worth if he wins this now?

Flint will get in the Team Of The Year - it's rare a defender wins this award.

As for Luongo - as good as he's been, he had a few months out due to the Asia Cup, and has had a few niggly injuries, but again wouldn't be surprised to see him in Team Of The Year.

Another fantastic player.

Garner has been phenomenal this season when not injured. Freeman has been great for BC, we really should have signed him when we had the chance. Alli will go far and is the major reason why MK have been so good this year.

Having said all that, I think Ferguson just about gets the nod.

It's between Flint and Freeman for our personal Player of the Year award. I think both are deserving of being in contention. I'd imagine Flint will win our fan-voted one as he's a funny character off the pitch as well as great on it, so hopefully Luke will deservedly get the overall award. Maintained his consistency over the whole season and has played in pretty much every game. I remember when we signed him last summer, I couldn't believe we had managed to pull it off (a few days before Sky claimed he was set to sign for Watford), another deal by us that went on behind the scenes and went under the radar, getting the business done.

Will we ever better that summer transfer window? - Freeman, Wilbraham, Smith, Ayling, Little, Agard. I hope so but it would certainly be a challenge to do so.

I celebrated like we'd scored a goal when I heard the news we'd signed Freeman - he was superb against us twice last season, and we'd always been linked with him!

I'd given up much hope when I seen the interest from Championship clubs, but I'm so happy we got him, and he really deserves this.

Same, was buzzing for days when I heard we signed him as I couldn't believe it. Most excited I've ever been over a player joining us (Scott Murray's return was a close 2nd)

Without Freeman, we'd struggle to make the Play Offs.

Agree to an extent, without Freeman we'd have been with 2 options for our midfield this season, JET replacing Freeman in the hole or Elliott as part of the 3. Imo JET wouldn't be as effective as Freeman, no where near the live wire he is and the amount of the pitch he covers is insane, and also Freeman has what 20 odd assists? I imagine JET would have chanced his arm with a fair few where Freeman looked to assist. Elliott, not the same attacking threat that Freeman produces despite being quality in his own right, would have relied on Korey Smith going forward more and therefore missing his ability to mop up at the back. Also legs? Don't think Wade could have played as many games as Freeman this season. However I still reckon we'd have been in the play offs, maybe just behind Swindon/ahead of Sheffield Utd.

Luongo isn't our player of the year but certainly warrants a mention in these type of discussions.

Who is then mike? Tough one bearing in mind a lot of players have had their ups and downs form wise this season. For me Luongo is our most consistent performer this season.

Byrne and Williams have faded. Jack Stephens could be a shout.

I'd plump for Turnbull. Up until his unfortunate recent suspension, he was the only player to start every single game this season and has just got better and better the more football he has played. Luongo is excellent and technically our best player but, for me, Turnbull has been that little bit more consistent.

Foderingham and Luongo would probably make my top 3 though.

Turnbull the Trowbridge lad, played Wembley against him like 8 years ago with some of my mates from school. Pains me to say it as he plays for you lot but glad he is doing well spoke to him weeks back and came across well knowing who I support ;)
