I'm good at cutting football pitches, but my lawn is a farce. No good asking me either.

What sort of mess is it, massively overgrown or just lacking in an overall vision?

Advice. Garden is a mess and want to get it to a point where I can put my own stamp on it, but there's plenty of work needed to be done first.

If you think you can help, please send us a PM.

Sounds like you need a scarifier, mate.

I've done it once. I dug up the ground, rotavated, levelled off the turf and laid some flags into a circle, placing a sundial upon it. The rest of the ground was covered in stone. The most important bit is the membrane between the ground and whatever you're putting on it, otherwise weeds and that will grow through. I used visqueen.

I was really proud of that, especially as I'd been out the night before and got wasted and punched in the face.
