They did that the season before when we went up as well, obviously stockport and wrexham had money that no-one else did but we really only got over the line as we’ve not necessarily got the depth but quite a versatile squad - something clough loves.

Crewe is a local trip from manchester but it a pretty uninspiring away day and that away stand is pretty ropey when full
Its not nice to be in well full at all (and they only give us one stand now!) its a great away day in that we always win there, cost £29 to sit in that stand this season as well (inc £1 booking fee)!

They did a slightly less Walsally last season too if I recall? Went into the play offs in awful form after nose diving, beat the in form team in the play offs (Donny) then lost the final with a flat effort.

You are up against teams next season who may have 30m plus turnover.....And paying 20k wages
Certainly at least one team
Yeah this one team is projected to receive ~£218M in just TV revenue over 3 seasons, 25/26 being the third.

Still got relegated twice...

These are the revenues in 23/24 season, not sure how accurate they are as it's Kieran Maguire, but right ball park.

Shows what a balls up we have made in the last couple of years, Derby and Portsmouth the only comparable finances and they are long gone from this league.

Very interesting. Wonder why overall revenue fell so much from the previous season.

We are certainly investing heavy off the pitch.........New Manager assistant and first team coach end of January.
Followed by New D.O.F From Standard liege, New CEO and head of Recruitment both Plymouth.

Players we have been linked with since the end of season have all been underwhelming.
Doubt the board have invested so much off field to under fund on the pitch going forward.

Pre-season complete for Luton…

PL6 W5 D1 F19 A2

Tottenham played a strong team today which got progressively far younger as the game went on. Apart from that, I can’t help thinking the standard of opposition could’ve been a bit better.

Clearly in need of another striker.

This was done with no Recognised Forward today a mixture of our youth and First team beat Prestons first team 2-0
7 players 21 and under played today

Missing Taylor,Dalby, Warren all injured and Erhahon not registered in time from our new signings
Expect a new signing Strongly rumoured to be John Kenny

We have two wingers who are going to rip this league up this season have we enough for Automatics

We certainly will be hard to beat

Beat Swansea 1-0 to be unbeaten in pre season. Good performances by some so optimistic that the team looks as good if not better than last season.

I saw the comedy goal conceded by Donny today, best pressure them next week then.
Weird that they were playing Blackpool in a PSF though

We look strong at CB and central midfield but striker and wide areas i think we look pretty short. Today with the shape and Lonwijk doing a job at LWB and Walters at RWB we just werent getting enough attacking intent from those wide areas to make that shape work.

Without Doughty we have no real LB/LWB and at RWB i just dont see it with Walters at all.

We clearly need a striker like you say but i really hope someone is looking at both wingback positions too, certainly LWB but also RWB whilst we await the return of Jones.

We are all shopping at the corner shop hoping we can get a better deal than the Supermarkets are offering
