Haven't heard anything about Pilley recently, has he been sentenced yet?

As said on the other thread, these couple of signings won't have come cheap....can they really fund these signings given the uncertainty?

He's a decent player, but he's a 1 in 5 player (as in 1 good performance in 5). He's versatile and we simply don't play to his strengths - he's also a mercenary who will go where the money is (as per my comment on the transfer rumours thread, he signed with Fleetwood the day before Pilley was found guilty) - I don't blame him or any player for chasing the money.

He's an out and out winger, but he thinks he's a 10. He can play wing-back, and last season that's probably where he spent most of his time, covering both the left and right. He won't let you down, but don't expect him to pull up any trees either.
That sounds a fair assessment of the guy, thanks for your views. He can stand in for Andrew at left back. This pm we announced another signing, Danny Mayor from Plymouth. ,2 yr contract as Broom, sounds a useful player. Not sure about these guys chasing the money as I'm not sure if we have any !!

He's been remanded in custody in order for reports to be compiled
Believe that sentencing is during the first week of July. It will be custodial
Next Monday the sentence will be handed out, General view round here is he'll get 7-10 years, his sister should get sent down as well, she was the brains behind the scam

You might not now, but Broom hasn't joined Fleetwood because they're a step up. From what I've been told, he's a bit annoyed at his agent for not knowing what was going on behind the scenes.

You won't want him playing left-back either. He did a job at lwb, but he is very much right-sided.

I never thought for one moment we were a step up, tbh at the moment it's more like the other way. The gel at the moment is Scott Brown and if he completes his 2.5 yr contract that will be fantastic. I would expect him to leave at the end of the coming season and then take it from there

I heard Mayor and Broom have joined Fleetwood as they're excited by the project going on there.

Absolutely nothing to do with money.

To play in that area close to home and with Fleetwood is a dream for Danny Mayor and no not about money at all.

Danny Mayor commented that Fleet would be his favourite services as he loves travelling the M3.

Has it been said in the press if the authorities are going after proceeds of crime and will that affect Fleetwood if they do?

Some images of the temporary stand that's being built currently down the end where the current away fans are situated

Is it going to be all home fans that end then? Or are they moving away fans there, to then charge more seeing as it would be classed as 'seating'?

So it's basically like this with a bit on the side.

Not a criticism by the way - just thought the pic might do it a bit more justice.

Fleetwood have signed Sam Fishburn from Carlisle, young player with plenty of games under his belt.
Is he a good prospect you Carlisle fans ?

Back & sides covered according to this, with somme of the highest quality tin we could find...

Not sure on seating yet. The pitch has moved 6m towards the home end goal so thats meant half of the previous away fans terracing is pretty much unusable. If I had to guess, half of that terrace will house away fans with some going into the new stand. Larger followings will be given more seats I'd imagine.

As for the stand in the pic above, not far off I reckon, just with more poles and maybe a higher gradient of seating? 3.5k seats

As I’m sure you well know with Rovers, you need to specify which one pal. That’s like asking Jeremy Clarkson if he ever bought that car…

The Fruit Market is going through planning processes and must be submitted for planning permission by March 2024. Sale of land was agreed, based on the permission going in and being accepted.

A few important sticky points in there still that need to happen, could be a big year for the club

Maybe you can sell the Memorial to Oxford when you get the green light for your ground.

Pompey, will your away end be ready for August? Looks like a lot of work needs doing!

it wont be fully complete until early 2024
Didn’t even know anything was happening. That looks a lot more efficient than it was. Will it be reduced capacity for our opening game then? If so, any ideas on capacity?

You only gave us an initial 1k, which I thought was low, but I expect us to request more for sure

I think it’s actually impressive that a club is willing to spend money on the improvement for away fans tbh

There'll be enough room for your fans. Its on Sky and on a tuesday night so I shouldnt think youll bring more than about 5 or 600
Our fanbase is always underestimated. Without the other lot, this along with Rovers, is our 'derby' this year so even on a Tuesday we should take more than that
