Since the other thread has closed, there's nowhere to discuss other issues.

Wigan seem close to a takeover.

The PL and EFL are in talks again today over funding for L1 & L2, but it seems like the PL are reluctant to help out the Championship, the ticking timebomb league, at the moment unless certain conditions are met.

Probably automatically locked as nobody had posted for a while.

Fleetwood at home on Saturday. A very competent team, usually, but prone to the odd 'mare (ie v Wycombe in the playoffs). Let's hope for one at the weekend, although we normally do reasonably well against them anyway.

Although the youngsters brought in did very well against Man U brats on Tuesday, I expect the seniors to come back in on Saturday. Probably line up something like:
Bazunu; Keohane, O'Connell, McShane, Done; Morley, Ryan, Lund; Newby, Beesley, Rathbone. Subs Lynch, McNulty, Dooley, Brierley, Hopper, Tavares, Dunne/Mialkowski.

No crowd there, but if there was then Callum Camps would have got a decent reception from the Dale fans. Had six good years as a first teamer with us and no blame for taking more wages than we could offer (probably) from Fleetwood.

Dale to win by the odd goal, and start moving up the table.

Believe it was last years thread. Good to keep new season separate so members don't have to trawl through old posts. :) Enjoy, thanks Luke Imp .

Yeah I just set it up to discuss any non-matchday L1 stuff really instead of starting a new thread each time.

Two games to watch out for this weekend :

Stuttering Blackpool ( "Champions elect" - according to their fans) v In form Lincoln
Stuttering Peterborough ("Champions elect" -according to their fans ) v Promoted Swindon

Make it three and it's the "A - game" AFC V Accrington ..but then again neither set of fans think they'll end up champions

Yeah I expect a tough one from you lads tomorrow. Always enjoyed a trip to Spotland, making do with I follow

Callum Camps has been a stand out for us so far this season and I know he was a credit to Rochdale and well liked by Dale fans. We are still looking for our first clean sheet of the season and not holding my breath for the game. We have a couple of senior pros back, Madden and Burns and will be pleased with a draw 2-2

Off you toddle back to the basement.

You never know, you might score your first goal of the season tomorrow.

His name was mentioned in the Summer....He did not distance himself from the job Or did Lowe at plymouth
They are from the north west and know how good a job it is.
Quite Happy to stick with Evatt.......I know we will get it right then the trip up the leagues will begin

Is that the same Ryan Lowe who publicly said that he’d accept a new contract offer from our chairman when asked about the Bolton interest?

Instead you took the manager from little old Barrow. You are not the club you once were. Hopefully you’ll actually score a goal today against Harrogate Town eh?

Stay in your lane.

Football is a closed shop......People in football know what is happening way before the public.
Lowe was interested before Evatt was confirmed.
For what its worth i would take Lowe before Wellans

We have three players on international duty next week but we're not allowed to postpone Saturday's game because you have to have a player on the team sheet for 'x' amount of games.

The reason Lewis hasn't been on the team sheet is because, ironically enough, he got injured on Wales U21 duty and played a full 90 minutes there instead of the maximum of 60 minutes that had been agreed after missing the start of pre-season here through a hamstring injury.

Whether we would have postponed the game I'm not sure, but it's rather daft how it's panned out.

Thankfully Morton hasn't need an operation on his shoulder and is going to be back quicker than initially thought, perhaps by the mid-November.

Proof re Lowe please? He’s an ambitious and smart lad. Why would he go back to league two again - he would get boxed in as a lower league manager for ever.

Wellens has already turned down Blackpool, Doncaster and Bolton.

When he leaves it’ll be for a bigger club than that lot.
