Surely though CFC would have been better to cash in during the summer, thus getting probably 4 times the fee and the time to invest some of it in a replacement? Once you take out our slice of the fee they haven't really got much for him at all. Surprised he went to another League One club though.

Typical that Vale get to play Wigan after their signing spree. Colclough getting nearly 6x wage increase with the move and next season there could be a division between the clubs so probably didn't take him to long to decide on the move.

Colclough used to watch the Vale as a kid he was saying so a dream debut for him in that respect. Just needs to sort his behaviour after a few jars on a night out and can do well.

We were practically pushing him out of the door, we are/were/still are hard up. I doubt the issues from the summer have completely gone away either, so I'm sure he jumped at the chance to get away from Davis.

Sounds like he was pretty underwhelming at Cov and York, very similar to what happened with Evans and Crewe and Scunthorpe.

Morris should have been on a season long loan with us, Middlesbrough recalled him as he was getting little game time with us because he couldn't get ahead of Vincelot and Fleck at the time. I know Mowbray rates him as a young player and he's captained England youth teams at various levels so you would think he had something about him but never got the chance for us.

QPR agree fee for Burton striker Nasser El Khayati apparently. That'd be a shame but I back Burton to replace him with someone like Sully Kai Kai on loan.
