Our detectives looking at our pre-season training pictures have found Jack Powell training with us. Any info Millwall fans?

Should have made the breakthrough with us last season really but other youngster found themselves moving in front of him due to his lack of 'robustness'. Technically looks good and in the few games he played I thought he looked decent, including being the best player on the pitch vs a very strong Southampton team a few years ago.

A bit of a waif and whilst he'll make a tackle he's not going to dominate a midfield in the way that one or two of our other options are capable of doing.
Unfortunately there also seems to have been a question over attitude, with Harris suggesting he may have thought that he had 'made it' and then not reacting well to being overlooked.

If I had to liken him to someone more well known, I think he probably sees himself as a Pirlo type player (albeit with a fair way to go).

I certainly thought he had the talent to make a career in league one.

Same source BCS mentioned has released another post, Ryan Kent, Jacob Murphy, Sam Morsy, Callum Robinson, Kasey Palmer all mentioned as being targets, with Maynard apparently signed up again, just needs to be made official, and Chuks Aneke failed a medical, should be ready and signed in about 6 or 7 weeks if he's the guy Robinson was on about in local media. That with Robb Hall likely to be signed at some point looks very, very promising for us.

He also said Moncur wanted to join us and was excited by the thought, but Barnsley came in with wages we just weren't prepared to match

Well, this lad could be something special, although you can say that about most youngsters and then they dont progress but this young lad looks like he has the temperment to do well. I'm actually a bit disappointed he didn't sign his contract but could be a good signing for you lads

Pretty happy with McCarthy seems highly rated by Southampton and Wycombe fans, where he won player of the season last season. Captained the Southampton U21's who are notorious at delivering quality young players.

Happy with Whitney's signings so far..5 signings before July is unheard of.

On the downside, it appears Anthony Forde had a medical at Rotherham this morning. He's a decent league one player, but Championship? No chance, not yet. Not enough pace.

If true, you're seriously going for it then. Williams and Upson are two solid additions, and Maynard will be fantastic in L1. Those five mentioned near the start of your post are presumably loans?

I'd presume they're loans yes, the only one that's possibly a permanent is Murphy as there were talks of signing his brother permanently, but unless it's for way less than he's worth it won't happen

Callum Robinson was reported to be set to be released by Villa this summer despite signing a deal through to 2017. It doesn't appear to have happened yet so I guess he's haggling over his pay off.
