Marvin Johnson would be the main example and Lundstram. Hopefully Roofe and O'Dowda continue to improve and get sold on for decent fees and we will get a good percentage from the sell on fees.
We did get very good fees for all those mentioned considering they wanted to move and in some ways engineered moves. in the case of Lunny he was within the last 6 months of the end of his contract and we got 700k.

The best we've had for years isn't the same thing as the best in the league. Gobby kids can get carried away. It is true though that midfield isn't a priority for us, although he would take some pressure off the defence. I was just remembering what Warne said about him in the past and it was only silly Leeds wages that stopped him signing in the end.

Only he’s not a L1 player, neither is Powell, and neither was Yanic two years ago. I called at the time that Yanic would go for big money and as long as whoever is calling the transfer shots at the club doesn’t balls it up, I’m calling the same with Morsy, he’s a class act and will hopefully have the opportunity to show himself off further at the World Cup which I then think will lead to us selling him. Not sure about his contract situation though. You say no L1 midfielder will go for £5m, I hope you’re right as that’ll mean Nick Powell won’t be going to Villa this month.

No one will offer £5m for a 26yr old, defensive midfielder while they play in League One, I wasn't talking about his ability.

Powell is a goalscorer/ match winner so that's a different story, plus Villa are absolute mugs. Not sure if he's a top end Championship player but wouldn't be surprised if someone took a punt on him during the panic window.

The more I read these valuations of players in League One, the more I think we're being reasonable asking for £10m+ for Hugill.

Moult and Bodin are also looking like potential bargains at £400k a pop.

Yes it is! That's half a mil a year most teams salaries are around £2.5-3 mil. And Pompey fans think they don't have a high budget, bet you're top 6.

We have a budget of around 3mill. Unfortunately alot of the players got pay increases for going up and we had to pay off alot of Cooks high wage earners off - Smith, Roberts, Baker, Talbot, Tom Davies as well as paying Holmes-Dennis loan wages for the entire season even though he got injured 30 mins into the first match! Pitman aside I don't think many of our summer transfers will be on massive wages to be honest.

Think we would be looking at players who are under 25 with re-sale value, that's our policy now unless its a really top player.

We've been stung by Doyle, Pringle and Spurr (if you take into account his injuries).

I like Diagouraga though, wouldn't be upset with him on a short term deal but I can't see it.

Typical MK signing. Highly regarded youngster but not set the world alight at Barnsley during first half of season and seems to have become a bit part player in the last couple of months. Last scored in September (woooo). Apparently we were close to getting him in last window.

He'll end up on the bench with our other highly regarded youngsters.

Yeah, he's been class. matured as a player and person since his arrival, creative but willing to work hard too. Also has the bonus of being versatile, had him at right-back, wing-back, on the wing and in centre mid during his spell with us.

He's going to become a very good player and it would be great to see him in a blue shirt again one day, but I think he may be destined for higher things unfortunately.
