Looks like we are signing Alfie Devine from Spurs. England Under 20 international. Been in the Spurs squad a couple of times.

Well it seems Alfie Devine ticks all the #highlyrated criteria. Should “tear this League up” apparently so we’ll see about that. In fairness our success rate so far with this seasons loanees is about a million times better than it was last season.

I have to be honest I have never heard of him but the fans seem to be buzzing who do. Not sure why we need a 700th midfielder mind!

Absolutely bonkers. No wonder teams are getting priced out of the market when others are paying half a million for a bang average player.
Well I thought he was very good last season when I saw him. If Nombe is worth a million, he's definitely worth at least half that (yes I know he's older)

Probably more demonstrates the dearth of available strikers unless willing to take a punt on an unproven player at this level. Which we have already done with Mark Harris (his strike rate previously wasn't great but he did play as a wide forward as well).

Tyrese Fornah confirmed on a two year deal - undisclosed agreement which amounts to a sell-on clause similar to how we signed Washington and Wilson with no upfront fee.

He gives us something that we lack significantly in the middle of the park, but still a very developmental player. Happy to get him on a no-risk permanent transfer. I think he will be huge in allowing the likes of Bird (when his fit) and Hourihane a little more freedom.

The way our summer has gone, the signing everyone wanted in Sonny Bradley has been our worst player so we will wait and see.

Just reading about him, if as good as it seems on paper him and Chislett with Arblaster and Ojo behind is quite mouth watering. Seems like most expected him to go Leeds on loan!

If he lives up to the billing from Tottenham fans and his YouTube reel (I know..) then definitely. We’ll only know once he’s on the pitch how he handles it. First loan for him you never know how they respond to the physicality. In theory him and Chislett in the AM roles sounds fun to watch.

Guess a couple of questions is where Garrity fits in now unless the knock Chislett picked up at Charlton has him missing time. Also Conlons future as he’s back on the grass now, wonder if the stories of him maybe leaving might resurface.

I guess if we are sticking with this formation you have Garrity/Chislett/Devine as your attacking options so 2 from 3

Then Ojo/Arblaster/Sang for the holding with Lowe able to cover if 2 are out.

Does look like the end for TC though, dont think Chislett is anything to do with Devine as sounds like we have been after him for a long time as Tommy Johnson knows him from his Wigan youth days.

Tyreese John-Jules signed - big fan of him as a footballer but obviously had his injury concerns. It looks like it's until January initially but there does look to be a clause that means we can make it permanent. I guess it will depend on his form and fitness.

Him, Saka and Sibley were the best three players on the pitch when we won the U18 Premier League in 2019 - crazy to think two of them are now playing for us in League One. Not sure whatever happened to the other guy.

Looks like Blackpool set to confirm Jordan Rhodes. Not sure how much he has left at this point of his career but you only have to look at their results so far to see scoring hasn’t come easy to them.

No idea what happened to Ryan Woods, I wanted us to sign him when he was at Shrewsbury, and then he went to Brentford and looked quality. Then Stoke signed him and he's been an absolutely passenger whenever i've seen him since. I thought he could have ended up in the Prem.

Maybe one of those who had his big pay day and stopped giving a shit about football.

He will be a good signing at this level, in terms of goals to minutes - he's still been Huddersfield's best option over the past three season.

The quality of this league is rough. My thought with Rhodes is that he's half a second smarter than the players at this level, even if his feet aren't. He will score plenty of goals for Blackpool - would be surprised if he doesn't break the 15 goal barrier - perhaps even 20.

Another very good signing on paper! Our squad depth right now it unbelievable, got to be some outgoings?

I think we’re also missing a game changer up front. The problem with our team is that we’re pretty much playing everyone in attack from the beginning.
Yes I didnt think we needed someone like Woods after Bogarde came in but I believe Woods can play as full back if we need it.
Defo need someone to finish these chances we will continue to make with the forward players we have

I get the feeling perhaps Cambridge gave us/Joey a proper wake up call that we can’t play our game week in week out. We’re going to have to get ugly and toughen up in some games if we want to leave with points against teams as efficient as Cambridge

I don't know, its more about taking our chances as we had a couple of them to go one up v Cambridge for all the talk of them stifling us

I think you had one chance that come from our mistake. It also come from a route one punt up field rather than carving us open with free flowing football.

Thats all it takes although. Marquis had another chance but went too wide and had to cut it back to nobody. Collins scores the easy chance and we probably go on to win. First goals always important in games like that and fair play you got it

Absolute crock, both us and Ipswich had him and barely got a game out of him

That‘s his problem for sure, but technically he’s not a player you get At this level without some drawback. He was a special player coming through the academy, he was one who many had genuine hopes for to play for Arsenal so it’s sad how it works out.

Even if it’s not for us, I hate to see young players get impacted by injuries - especially to this degree. Fingers crossed this is the season where his body holds it all together for him.

Johnson Clark Harris may be returning to Bristol Rovers who are continuing to splash the Kuwaiti cash.
