From what I've heard, it seems nailed on that Ricketts will remain at Swindon as player/coach.

we've been linked with Ben Purkiss, I don't know much about him but I've always presumed he is shit. Kelly out.

He sent a message last night that he was leaving us and moving closer to his home. I am not sure where his home is but good luck to him, played one game for us and saved a penalty with his first touch!

Luongo and Gladwin to QPR could be done by the end of the day.

Lets hope that they continue to overpay for players. Sounds like we'll get 4 million for them both. Hope Power puts lots of sell on and international clauses etc. 18 months ago Gladwin was semi-pro, he still looks raw but has ability. Luongo will be tough to replace but hopefully Kasim continues his end of season form and can take over the mantle.

John Marquis has signed a new one-year-deal at the club.

Bloke is fucking bonkers for turning Gillingham's two year offer down.

Looks like we're after Paddy McCourt.

Stay well away...just not worth it. He ran the show in his first couple of games for us but he just really can't be arsed pretty much ever, doesn't defend, always tries to do the most difficult thing possible when a short pass would do and half the time, frankly, he looks hungover and it's like playing with 10 men. Doubt he comes cheap either.

£4m for Luongo and Gladwin - great bit of business for Swindon, but where have QPR managed to get this sort of money from given the financial shit they're in?

Fair enough!

Hopefully if it does come off that, with both of them being Derry lads, they may know each other already so he'll know he has to put a shift in.

Does he tend to play off the LW or more centrally?

I expected Purkiss to be shit, but he turned out to be an excellent cheap right back. Got forward well, decent in the air and can play centre back. Nice bloke. Won the community award twice here. Virtually every Walsall fan I've spoken to thinks his release was very harsh.

Can be skinned by a quick tricky winger and occasionally should close his man down and make a tackle. Generally a 7/10 kind of player each week, with the odd mare against a good oppo winger. Solid player.

Don't know, as long as we get the cash without any issues I'm not too arsed!

Already excited about who we'll look too for replacements. Last pre season everything was done last minute due to the club ownership battle, so I'm confident with more time Cooper and Power can build a better team than the one which is about to be dismantled.

Every chance it could end in tears and we could do an Orient (or Swindon 2011) mind.

Paddy and Darren played together for a season at Derry. Like RavenBish said Paddy has bags of talent but often makes bad choices or simply can't be arsed. Maybe playing for a mate would motivate him abit more.

He'll never put a shift in, ideally you've got the mate stuff and 'x manager is a good motivator' or 'he needs a manager like this to get the best out of him' but he'll be 32 years old in December. It's not going to happen. I think he tried hard about 90% of the time at Notts but you could tell how uncomfortable he was trying to run around and make tackles, just not his game, he's a complete luxury player but kind of not good enough anymore to get signed by a team that could accommodate that type of luxury player.

He needs to play behind the striker, that's the only place he can play really. He'll skin a few full-backs on the wing but then he won't track back at all. I'd only really play him out wide at the end of a game when you've got nothing to lose.

Technically he's very good and he'll get a few bums off seats a couple of times a game because his dribbling ability is right up there with anyone's at this level, but as we found out ultimately he's just not worth the hassle. I'd stay well clear - there was talk of him staying if we stayed up because Moniz liked him but I was really hoping we wouldn't go there again.

I'm not exaggerating with the hangover stuff too either, you can tell he drinks too much just by looking at his face.

A little surprised at this.
He was well liked at Gills, had a good rapport with the fans,he did well and was getting regular playing time.
I think it is unlikely he will even be a regular starter at Millwall.
Oh well, a bit disappointing but not the end of the world.
I guess at the end of the day he is a Millwall lad from a big Millwall family and I don't blame him for wanting to give it another go there.
Reckon he may regret it in time though.

We've just signed Martin Woods from Ross County. Literally know nothing about the guy other than lots of appearances for Donny

Heard today that we're in talks with Frank Nouble from Coventry. Don't know too much about him but that he's ex-West Ham (obviously, John Still loves a hammer!)

Thoughts Coventry fans?

Blows hot and cold. Just cold far too often. Clearly has ability and if you had him performing consistently in league two there's 20 goals there but I don't see him ever being consistent.

Doncaster offered him double what we were prepared to pay him when he left Rotherham, when John Ryan was going through his "let's get one over on Wednesday/United/Leeds" Stage.

Not a bad midfielder though and scores a few goals.

Not really what we are after then, crying out for someone we can rely on to score goals and he doesn't seem that

We've signed Scott Wiseman, another player from Preston.

He's quick and good on the ball but can drop a bollock now and then, whether it being caught out of position or a stray backpass.

Decent fullback at this level though, could do with a hard working winger in front of him though.
