Well happy with this if we get it over the line, fully expecting it to be hijacked.
I doubt it.

Your CEO used to work for us and would have known a bunch of contract details and the like, which has probably weakened our negotiating position.

Would love a bidding war to break out but I expect if that was going to happen it would have done so by now.

We were linked before we got Adeboyejo… a few of our fans were saying ‘we shouldn’t be signing from the national league’ etc. Then you have to remind them about the odd gem like Jamie Vardy etc… I really like the look of Tshimanga. Would definitely have taken a punt on him if we hadn’t got Adeboyejo.

Looks like we are after 1-2 defenders today. One player I didn’t want us to lose was George Johnston.. he got injured at the weekend but not sure how long for. Stoke have sold Souttar for 15m and were linked… not sure if it’s possible to lose him today. If we do that would be a huge blow.

Tshimanga has been touted for years, never leaves non league. He has to be over 30 now surely?

According to BBC journo Portsmouth are in for Jevani Brown and discussions ongoing re a fee.

If he goes today I’ll be totally gutted and I really hope we only accept something absurd. I know he’ll go for free in the summer but I’d sooner that happen as without him we are massively weaker.

Clearly weren't put off by him missing that sitter! I'll believe it when I read it

Jevani Brown would make sense for us. We have a chronic lack of pace all over the pitch.

Looks like we've also secured right-sided defender Di'Shon Bernard on loan from Man United. I'd imagine he's also quick as Mousinho has identified that as a major problem in our squad and he's not wrong.

Winger Reeco Hackett-Fairchild looks to be heading out the exit door to either Lincoln or Cambridge. Been best for us as an impact sub, and never quite succeeded as a starter. Definitely has talent though, skilful but very one-footed and has a good shot on him. Could be a good signing if used right.

From our point of view, that would have to be a permanent signing and would therefore free Vernam up to Grimsby if they're still sniffing.

Erhanon passed his medical apparently and noises from north of the border suggest it's pretty much done now.

Add to that apparently trying to do a deal to sign Paddy Lane. I think its all just PR by the owners to say we have got the money, but unfortunately couldn't get the deals over the line in time.....

Vernam wants to sign for us and we want him, that's been the case all window by all accounts. Our main ITK forum source is saying it's all ready to go and it could be a perm deal, just waiting on you lot to get your business done.

Hard worker, shorn of confidence. Don't be put off by his height, he's got a great leap and is bloody strong. He will run through brick walls for you.

He seems to have been around for years having come through our youth team, but he's still only 22. He should be ok in League 2 - he just needs a goal or two and I reckon he could go on a run.

He's got another year on his deal with us, so the hope is he scores some goals away from Cheltenham and comes back in a more confident manner.

Nice cheers. Is he a striker or more of an attacking midfielder?

Obviously we had him on loan for a bit in L2 last season. As you say there’s stuff to like about his game not least his workrate. His ability to finish needed some work though.

He once scored more than 50 goals in a season in our youth team. Then came through to the first team and got a few early in his career - including a cracking header against Lincoln - but his momentum stalled and he's just been on the periphery since.

Yes, quite possibly. No doubt we'll have a quiet period for a few hours, then hear that the deals are unlikely to happen, followed by the window closing with an apologetic thud.

And now rumours that Millwall and Bristol City are in for Nombe…He’s got 18 months on his deal so he would cost some significant dough.

Rumoured to be signing James Scott from Hull. 6ft 2 forward who cost them £1.5m but has flopped somewhat.

We've signed Dylan Duffy from UCD over in Ireland, a young forward. Similar to Kendall and House last January, he's one for next season rather than this. UCD are PT over in Ireland so it'll take some adjusting for him in that respect and also the step up in quality.

Quietest transfer window ever. Worse for us considering we just got stuffed by Morecambe
