Yeah, a shame for us but then maybe we were used for some leverage to get him an improved deal with you. Or maybe we were close to signing him, who knows.Signed a new two year deal with us today.
Back to the drawing board!

Really you had a player of the season???????Our player of the season Dylan McGeouch has turned down a new contract and left the club. Another kick in the bollocks that, a real quality player.
I guess you're likely to have the pick of the best players in this league unless they decide to go to the Championship. You'll also be able to fund the very best loans from the Premier League, so you should be very competitive next season. Just depends if the manager is capable of bringing together a squad rather than just talented individuals (see Plymouth). It looks like McGoldrick is looking to finish his career at Notts County and lots of talk of them wrapping it up this week.
He was excellent for us last season, finished the season in excellent form and won our POTY award. He was probably on a decent wage here too, with a likely improved contract offer for this season (£12k a week) but looks like he’s off to League Two. Strange.
It means we will be in the market for at least 3 strikers this summer, along with Knight who could also move on then it will be some rebuild - essentially a blank slate.

Show Charlton who's boss and double what they've offered for Alfie - you know it makes sense. It looks like McGoldrick is looking to finish his career at Notts County and lots of talk of them wrapping it up this week.

We are being linked with Kieron Bowie who was on loan at Northampton last season.
Would be surprised if it happens. A lot of rumours that he wants to play further north or even return north of the border. If he does stay in this area I would have thought there was a chance he would stay with us for another season.
Can play as a wide forward or up top, im not really sure which is his best position. Puts an absolute shift in and uses his physicality really well for a young lad, lacks a bit of pace though. Chipped in with 5 goals, think he can definitely add to that tally with more experience and with a team that's a bit more expansive. Would be a good signing for any side mid table or lower IMO.

Northampton are being linked with a move for Rotherham striker and 'long throw' specialist Joshua Kayode.
Matt Taylor hasn't really had a chance to look at JK yet as he was injured while at MK Dons and hardly played last season.
He may be willing to let him go but you would think he wants to assess what JK is capable of first.
So are we if Twitter is to be believed.Northampton are being linked with a move for Rotherham striker and 'long throw' specialist Joshua Kayode.
We had Freeman in the covid season, he didn't pull up many trees for us, but we had a below average season.
Looks like we're currently working on deals to bring back Charlie Kelman from QPR on another season long loan and re-signing Macauley Bonne.
Kelman did ok for us last season, fits Wellens style but not the most clinical in front of goal. He did score the most out of all our strikers though with 7 goals.
Bonne would also fit our style of play, but if he does rejoin us he will probably be expected to hit the ground running........
Bonne is exactly the sort of player we would have been far better with last season. I know he’s not Championship standard and I know Charlton fans hate him, but if he puts in the sort of shifts he did in his first spell I’d be extremely happy. We’d have been promoted by mid-March if we hadn’t been pissing around with Drinan and Kelman.
Speaking of whom, I’d be mightily underwhelmed if we re-signed Kelman on loan. Think his level is League Two, especially with the main supply line likely to be broken when Paul Smyth leaves. Not a player who can create for himself.
We've been linked with Alex Jakubiak, any Gills or Bristol Rovers fans able to give a bit of info on him? Good enough for League One?
Didn't seem particularly good at anything, scored a couple and then left. We've been linked with Alex Jakubiak, any Gills or Bristol Rovers fans able to give a bit of info on him? Good enough for League One?
We had him on loan years ago.Didn't seem particularly good at anything, scored a couple and then left.
Got to be honest no idea who he is or if he’s any good. Bigger question I would have is how can it be possible Wigan are even looking at signing anyone at the moment??
Vigs apparently has offers from ALOT of clubs, including one from Ligue One in France.
