No he is coming on loan.....Chelsea will be hoping he makes the same impact as Trafford a couple of seasons back
I’m surprised that it’s been sorted, normally that type of thing isn’t done until the clubs are back in preseason training and have decided who’s in their squads. Anyway I wish him well for 44 games next season if that’s the case

Seems it will be announced first/second of June....It has come from someone on our forum who is usually right about such matters.

Jamie Paterson confirmed on a free transfer from Coventry. 33, lots of experience at Championship level.

I genuinely have no idea what is a good signing this summer!
A few fans from clubs he has previously played for reckon he’s a really good signing, we’ll have to wait and see. Ironically players like Jamie Paterson are probably players we could’ve done with last season.

I’m quietly confident that this could be quite an astute signing, especially for league 1, and gives some pretty good initial indications of our intent.

I also really like that he’s been won over after speaking to Muslic and hearing his plans, both because it means that it sounds like Muslic will stay, and also that we mean business.

I see Posh and a few others are interested in Bradley Ibrahim who played for us all season on loan from Hertha Berlin.

Decent combatative midfielder who should only be allowed on the pitch wearing a gag! 17 bookings and most were for mouthing off at refs or joining an off the ball scuffle.

Scored our goal of the season and potential league 1 goal of the season v Wrexham but normally plays deeper.

So Caleb Watts has turned down a new contract and signs for...Argyle.

Out club statement is seething, though he hardly played full.games and often was lambasted.

I doubt he will be more than a squad player for them.

Well we’ve announced our second signing of the season, a couple hours after the first. Caleb Watts who turns down a contract offer from Exeter to join us instead! On a 3 year deal.

No idea if he’s any good!

A bit of a spikey statement. He was always going to go as the difference in wages will be colossal.

He was ok for us, but I cant see him being one to take you up.

What sort of player is he? Under Miron we played a 3-4-2-1, is he more of a centre mid or a number 10?

What I will say about Miron is he seems very good at getting the absolute best out of players. Hardie couldn’t hit a barn door under Rooney and is back to his old self now Miron is on here. Bundu, who isn’t signing a new contract, hit the best form of his career since January. Pleguezuelo, who joined from FC Twente flattered to deceive but under Miron has been a different player.

I would be under whelmed if they were first two in at our place .....Got to fancy the three that came down to bounce straight back up but swapping those two for Bundi is not the answer

I guess I'm looking at it from a different point-of-view. Our budget will probably allow us to sign players that have the ability to significantly step up in the second tier, rather than sign players, get promotion and then struggle against relegation again. Easier said than done.

I wait to be proven wrong that there is a big drop-off down to League 1.

Second rumour for Luton is a left-footed defender, most recently at St Mirren, Richard Taylor. He turned down a new contract there and played in the Europa League qualifiers last summer and finishing mid-table in the SPFL this season.

Again, I've never heard of him but sounds like he was getting good reviews in Scotland.

I guess if you're playing 40 games in the top tier of Scottish football and finishing mid table isn't terrible by any means.

I remember being pretty shocked at how big a jump it was up to the championship when we got promoted 2 seasons ago.

The team we started our first championship season with was pretty much the same as the one that got promoted with the same manager, so it was directly comparable for us. And the best way I could describe the difference was that the ‘easy’ games against teams you’re expected to beat if you want to stay up, feel like the same standard as top of the table clashes in league 1 between the top 3 teams. Games that are very evenly matched, ferocious, and could go either way. A bit of luck or a dodgy decision one way or the other could decide the difference.

Whereas games against the better teams in the championship felt like a league 1 side playing a premier league team in the 3rd round of the FA cup, where you’re completely outgunned and outclassed, and try and do anything you can just to stay in the game and not get steam rollered.

Mansfield are rumoured to be nicking someone out of St Mirren again, we did it last summer with Keanu Baccus.
