We’re signing Bradley Ibrahim on a permanent transfer from Hertha Berlin. Dan Grimshaw is also leaving us for Norwich, for 600k. He joined last summer and ended up being our back up keeper, and we’re making back what we paid for him from Blackpool, so no big loss.
Never heard of him but you'd imagine he'll be of a pretty decent standard. Think Plymouth might do the best of the relegated sides. They're not a basket case, seem pretty well run and have a decent manager.

Was on loan at Crawley last season. Defensive midfielder. We currently don’t have a manager however!

Oops...I've only just seen that he's gone! I'm sure they'll make a sensible replacement. Last time they were in league 1, they seemed a pretty well run club who were on the up....can't see that being derailed completely.

Also just read that their budget will be double what it was last time they were in league 1, so they'll be spending plenty.

Seems more and more likely to me that Thelo Aasgaard isn’t going to be sticking around. The Norway manager has made pretty clear he won’t be picking him if he plays in League 1 and he was as non commital as can possibly be in his interviews with Norwegian media.

Funny move at the time it happened really given our position but he was one of the very few bright spots. Will need to be replaced as we struggled for creativity all season and he was pretty much the only player to provide it

Curtis Tilt signs on 2 year contract from Salford. Our second signing hasn't been well received by our fans.

Seems like Blackpool are going to have a real go for it this year. Signing Horsfall on a 4 year and Ihiekwe today on a 3 year. Neither of them will have come cheaply.

Rumoured that we were potentially in for Ihiekwe but I'm pretty certain that we wouldn't offer 3 years to a 32 year old...seems a little bonkers if you ask me but clearly they just want to build a strong side and worry about the future later. Seems a bit short term but good luck to them.

Not a signing per se, but it looks like Luton will recruit Marc Tracey as their new Head of Recruitment from Lincoln City. He is actually a Luton Town supporter, but my knowledge of the guy is limited to that.

My goodness we need a shake up in that department.
Been with us since the Cowleys arrived, highly regarded within the club.
Promotion to boot for him as well, from chief scout here , to head of recruitment with you.

Going to have his work cut out I’d imagine, our recruitment needs a big overhaul - not sure it’s been fit for purpose since NJ left and Harford has taken a step back due to age/health

We were a midtable national league side when he first worked with us, so he's used to a challenge!
We had zero cash, sure he'll do you proud.
I believe one of ground staff (head groundsman I think) has gone to Manchester City.
Quite a few of our non playing staff have on gone onto bigger things

It’s been announced officially now alongside changes to the recruitment structure generally.

He’s not head of recruitment but Chief scout here too with Yousuf Sajjad & Jay Socik who have been here for a little while taking on more leading roles.

Like I say - everyone in that area needs to massively up their games from the last 4 windows which have been dreadful really

Mitch Pinnock has signed up with Bromley. Wasn't expecting him to have interest from League 1 teams looking for promotion, but a bit surprised he didn't have any other League 1 interest in the area he wanted to be. While he wasn't a stand out in the way Leonard was previous year, I thought our player of the season wouldn't have to drop a whole division.

Invested heavy off the field with a complete new management team from the DOF, New CEO, New head of recruitment, etc to go with Schumacher re-build.
Today we have signed Sam Dalby on a four year deal from Wrexham.......Would not have been my choice of forward even though he did well last season getting in the Scottish Premier team of the season, but i would have been underwhelmed if we had signed Kone or Kelman this time last season.
What Dalby gives us is options to at last go 442 or 433 and get shot of that tippy tappy shite we have been playing the last 5 seasons........Ohhh and he turned a number of clubs including the mighty Preston to sign for us

Tried posting some of this earlier, but the mobile version of this site is diabolical. But anyhow...

George Saville is likely to be the first (or one of the first) signings. He rejected a pay drop from Millwall today. He's 32 now, but he's played ~40+ games for the last 4 seasons so he can stay fit. His stats last season were good (rating 6.85 per WhoScored), scoring once and setting up 3. A battler, a leader. Exactly what Luton need. That said, I'm surprised he's dropped a league.

Kal Naismith is also someone else that is likely to re-sign having been a permanent signing in the Championship in 2021/22 and on loan in the second half of last season. He was most recently released by Bristol City.

Teden Mengi is wanted by Burnley. His attitude in the last 12 months has absolutely stunk - trying to engineer a move last summer. Manchester United are due a significant sell on fee, but I wouldn't sell him for less than £8M.

Matt Bloomfield was interviewed by the club in-house media earlier - he seems resigned to the fact that many players that are above the level will leave and offers will be listened to for anyone that is of interest. We could be like Burnley at the start of last season that a number of players will be involved maybe in the first couple of weeks only to have a totally different squad come the end of the window.

Hopefully we can ship Nlundulu out on loan again and palm Victor Adeboyejo out to some unsuspecting club for a small fee, and get another striker in.

Ha, what a load of shite, never been a single link or rumour to him apart from your local rag listing a bunch of random clubs tonight.

I'd be raging if he ended up here.

Look he is a big gamble but is a unit and is what we are missing.....He will get a lot of chances in games next season.....He could end up with 20 plus goals and clubs higher up will come sniffing with big offers or he could bomb out and we have him on the payroll for the next few years.
As i said i would not have taken Kone or Kelman last pre-season
Wonder why you would be raging????
I think if both Preston and Bolton went for the same ten players we would end up with five a piece.........The fact you are in a higher division would make it equal.....If we got promoted it goes 8-2 in our favour, Preston are not a big draw

Think we may have to loan Nlundulu out again and Adeboyejo wont be playing until around Christmas.....We need another striker this pre-season

You're an absolute fruit loop. Bolton would get absolutely nowhere near us on wages. Not a brag, it's just fact. Our wage bill is double yours, that's why you can't even bring in our cast-offs like Ledson. We get £9m more a year in TV money.

I'd be raging because he didn't even perform in L2, and Wrexham binned him off as soon as they got to L1. We've signed enough cheap duds like this over the years and hopefully lessons have been learned.

Saville would be a great signing for anybody in this league......Best of luck getting anything like that for Mengi....Clubs know you are in the last year of your parachute money and you will have to off load him sooner or later.......Your better or should i say highest earners need off loading for whatever you can get for them
None if very few will fancy staying around in lge1

Either you are not educated or know enough about football finance to comment correctly or factually.....Your wage bill is indeed higher than ours due to the fact you play in a higher division. We released three first team squad players at the end of the season and two of our so called cast-offs have moved into the championship......As i have said before Ledson is not needed......Now the educating bit.....Since covid year on year Boltons turnover has exceeded Prestons every year. You do not get £9m more in television revenue infact the highest amount you have received ever was 9.5m this season because of the new sky deal.
We receive a 7 figure fee alone for the stadium naming rights per season and have many lucrative sponsorship
Added to a hotel that is open 365 days a year....Snooker/Darts/Boxing events most week-ends and concerts each Summer.......Again all this that Preston do not exploit and a fan base 10k more every week .....Keep putting your head in the sand.
As for Dalby he is a gamble but i am happy enough that plenty of clubs were in for him and i would rather take their opinions than a deluded Preston fan who really knows little about what he talks about.
Dont worry you are not the first or last that needed educating on here

You also conveniently forget we're owned a billionaire family, that helps a bit...

None of the revenue streams you mention even come close to half of £9m either. Also, didn't realise you averaged 26,000+ last season....

But carry on making up complete and utter shite. It'd be nice if you used some fucking grammar though.
