Impressive for sure but they are the sort of numbers I would of expected for a club the size of Luton (aka big for lower leagues) when they have been top 2 all season.

Good numbers from Vale in a pretty meaningless game at Field Mill . Good effort that, feel for those Spireites in attendance to see the inevitable

Only 40 clubs will probably have a higher away support this season.

Were you expecting less? Luton Town FC. Winning games home and away. Title bound for most of the season.

It’s the sorta number I would expect. Impressive but expected.

No official number of Grimsby at Swindon but been on their forum and one of their fans reckons about 600 and I've watched a blog from a a Swindon fan where he zooms in on the away end and it looks pretty full so I reckon 600 is not too far off.

Looking at the picture from yesterday, and comparing it with Cheltenham (who had 605), I'd say it's about 550

Yeah sounds about right, the view from the YouTube vid I watched you can't really see that little patch of empty seats in the middle.

As he should, that’s the right answer. 4500 is plenty. Delighted it’s sold out obviously, and depending on next weekends result could be a bumper home crowd
Of course its plenty. No reason why Notts County should increase the allocation. They didn't for other clubs that have sold out this season or Portsmouth last season. I've no doubt some fans will travel up without tickets and will be quite content to sample the pre and post match atsmosphere.

An envious or bitter opposing fan perhaps?!:D

The only accurate part of that statement was I’m an opposing fan.

Nothing against Luton at all, just from my wonderful time in league 2 this season have seen a lots of self-congratulatory style posts from Luton fans.

Not really my style but that’s maybe because currently if Swindon were playing in my back garden, i’d probably shut the curtains.

Not like Luton fans to be continually patting themselves on the back is it!

Is there anything more cringey?
Oh give it a break - we've just got back to League One after the journey of the last 10 years.

I'm sure when Di Canio was at Swindon and in the same position, you would've been doing the same.

Give it a break? First time I’ve mentioned it fella.

Also, you shouldn’t be so sure of yourself Kenneth as I certainly wasn’t.

I don't expect you or any other fan of another club to understand the journey we have been on to get here but surely all fans are entitled to express some elation when their team gets promoted. Its not something that happens every year. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride and congratulate another team on their success. Your post was a little uncalled for. A simple "well done Luton" would have sufficed.
All the best to Swindon next season.

MH, I rarely come on the away supporters thread as I don’t really have any interest in supporter numbers really so probably shouldn’t have been surprised to see Kenneth praising Luton’s ‘phenomenal support’

Luton are probably represented the most of all the league 2 supporters on here and some
Of the behaviour of some Luton fans has come across a little arrogant throughout the season, in my eyes.

As I said, nothing against Luton Town at all. I’m happy to post my congratulations in the relevant ‘congratulations Luton’ football related thread and hope you enjoy the celebrations and the rest of the season.

Roughly translated means that if I hadn’t posted this morning about it, it wouldn’t have had the same reaction.

Anyone else is fine.

Dont attack the poster...

When you say ‘roughly translated’ do you mean from English to gibberish?

All you have to do is look at Nathan jones comments on bbc “Luton town the best side in the league”
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43857556

No dear, you aren’t. It’s relatively simple to understand.

And you make yourself sound a dick.

It’s probably comments like that, which are quite common, as to why you’ve posted what you did.

Have to say I thought Nathan Jones came accross as a bit of a dick on an interview I saw with him yesterday, can't remember exact words but along the lines of 'it's always a big game for any club when Luton are in town'.
No offence meant Luton fans but, is it fuck.
Of course Luton are a big fish in this league but that quote just makes him sound like an absolute tool to me.

We've sold 771 tickets for Stevenage next Saturday. I'm sure we would have filled the allocation of 1350 had we won yesterday. As it is, we can't go up next week so I think many are prioritising the last home game or the playoffs

It doesn't come across very well when you blow your own trumpet like Luton do. Better to let others praise you Luton ken
