We do all wish we were Bradford with their tuppence hapenny season tickets.
Rumour is Bradford have got hold of your season ticket waiting list and will be sending everyone on it 2 each free of charge

I've already gathered that it's just a thing on the League 2 pages-Bradford fans willy wave over their attendance figures. I respect it, honestly.
We had it with Grimsby and their away attendances on the non-league forum previously. You just need to tune it out.

As far as I'm aware Bradford have unsurprisingly always sold the most season tickets, had the most overall season ticket income in L2 since they arrived. It's undoubtedly impressive, no other way of viewing it.

That's make their decline and staunch refusal to get promoted back to L1 level all the more spectacular and to some humorous.

Wrexham are now famous and massive and you should be just glad you are rubbing shoulders with Netflix's favourite team, but clearly not as massive as Bradford even when the much talked about Super Kop is finished.

Grimsby have the best away supporters in league two on the planet but a mish mash of a ground that is in seriously need of a lick of paint with an away end that is H&S hazard for visiting fans.

Mansfield have always and will always care most about how many fans visit their now recently packed out 3 sided ground. This should come as no surprise to anyone for all the obvious reasons, the obsession has apparently only increased this last couple of seasons as the locals have found their way to the One Call 3 sided Stadium in their droves. As impressive an uptick in home support as you will find, albeit it started from historic pathetic levels.

The rest seem to care more about matchday results than attendances. That's the traditional approach for football supporters

They only average poor crowds cos their stadiums tiny - didn’t you know?

When they build their super dooper Kop stand, they’ll still have thousands on the waiting list. Obviously.
With the greatest respect, I meant a fairly big crowd which in my world translates to a bit higher than your average, which yes would be around 20k. No berty big bollocks from me.

I wouldn't be surprised if we cap STH to 8-9k, and then have around 4k for tickets, then 2-3k behind the goal for away fans, once our 'super dooper kop stand' is built.

With the size of Bradford, and the fact there is only one League team in the city it would be a shocking state if affairs if their attendances were lower than they are. They are a big team at this level.

A while back I looked up the 2007/2008 season (our last in League 2) to compare attendances. To be fair to Bradford they were well in front with around 12k. All the rest were pretty low- Mansfield was less than 3k for example- so things are on the rise across the board which is good to see.

That was the season we were relegated, and many including myself did not attend due to Haslam. Although I do understand the point and we’ve seen a steady increase year on year for a while now, despite no success.

Ah that makes sense, it did stand out as pretty low for you lot tbh but you were far from alone- the majority in the league were a few thousand lower than you'd expect.

Under 6,000 getting you automatic home support promotion is mental considering the difference now.

Impending and inevitable relegation tends to have a detrimental impact on both your away and home support. Certainly was the case for us in 2018/19 as you already know and highlight.

Makes for pretty sad reading when you see the likes of Darlington, Bury, Macc and Hereford there and have to remember they went bust.

Then you have the memory of Chester going bust which brings a smile to anyone's face.

Not a league game but we've sold out for Luton in the cup. Might not seem like much, but that'll make it 3 sold out away ends in a row after Sutton and Crawley. I'm not sure we'll make it 4 in a row as the next away is Grimsby, but would expect to shift the initial 475 fairly early.

Gonna be a pretty dull atmosphere I feel. Doesn't look like we've sold too well for it either.
Says we've sold out...? Unless I can't access as i'm a STH/member,

A chance of the really big boys in round 3 away, and the way they are playing...should be good.

Im surprised we’ve sold out, tbh.

The football isn’t great and 6 of our first 8 games are away from home.

Crawley - 1,057
Accrington - 1,350
Stockport - 1,343
Morecambe - 1,600
Wrexham - 1,150
Mansfield - 1,750

Should give us a 1,450 league average after Mansfield.

Ahh I'd seen someone post it on social media but looks like they'd mixed it up with Newcastle. As you were.

Here he is, right on cue, the biggest away crowd willy waver on here providing me with a link to nothing.
I know right, it's almost as though it's a long standing bit of a joke and just a bit of banter isn't it?

On the first handful of pages of that thread...

Chief: We've sold our allocation of 1800 tickets for Chesterfield tomorrow.
MD: Immense.
Chief: 626 Wrexham at Notts County last night, in the Trophy when the game was being live streamed.
Chief: We've sold out our allocation for Bromley. 800 tickets were sold.

Meanwhile the big willy waver informs everyone else of a rather flat Town following at Southend and bigs up a ridiculous York following.

Got 750 tickets on Monday for Vale in the cup next week, they sold out, there sending another 750, probably get pretty close to selling them aswell I'd guess, so should be around 1500 travelling which ain't too bad for a midweek league Cup game for us.
Only sent another 300 whi h went on sale this morning and were sold out after a couple of hours. Hopefully we get another allocation soon.

Having abit of a mare with coach travel aswell. 3 coaches all been sold out for a while for Bradford on Saturday and despite demand for it we've not been able to get anymore, frustrating considering the train strikes. Same with Vale on Tuesday, sold 9 but struggling to get anymore.

We were in the Championship that season, alongside Scunthorpe. Been a depressing journey ever since.

We can expect at least 150 of you then.

Not rattled just debunking vile slander once again.
Fair play, must've taken a good 10-15 minutes to find the quotes and come up with that earlier response. Some commitment.
