I was watching at home (all be it I couldn’t go) but the pictures look really sparse, the club will blame the weather but the stay aways just show the level of toxicity between supporters and those ‘running’ the club. Season tickets are going to fall off a cliff until something changes but given how unlikely that is things are only going one way. They failed to announce the attendance last night btw.
ATTENDANCE: 16,549 (With 187 travelling Salford supporters).
Tickets sold?

Ugh I feel a bit dirty posting in this thread as I've no interest in attendances per se.

However this piqued my interest. I see similarities between Swindon and Bradford in that we are relatively big clubs for this level seemingly 'stuck' here. Bradford obviously way longer than us, but your fans must be absolutely beyond frustration that there is no progress. Your cheap STs though mean that numbers are unlikely to fall surely? If you are a Bradford fan hacked off you pay the £100 quid (or however much it is) just in case. Our STs are nearer £400 and so that's a much harder case to justify spending. Our owners have had 3 years now and there is all sorts of rumour about people taking money out of the club, no cohesion, high levels of attrition on and off the playing field.

It will be interesting to see how ambitious both clubs are next season.

The vast majority of clubs do that. They'll have the actual attendance in the control box but for whatever reason tickets sold gets announced.
We don’t do it but as most other clubs do it I wish we would too, we have loads of no shows at every home game.

I've never really understood this 'no show' from season ticket holders. Yes the football on display may be crap, the chances of victory limited each week (we've all been there) but you've paid a hefty wedge for the season ticket in the summer so why not go. It's still football. What's the alternative a trip to IKEA, a walk round the shops with other half or even sat at home on the sofa watching Soccer Saturday. Nothing competes with going to a game, especially when you've already paid!

Don’t we say this all the time though and we still shift 12,000+

IMO, it’s no where near as bad as it was back in 09-12 and we always shifted 10,000+ back then. Our fanbase has increased massively since then.

We had a game called off on Saturday. Temperatures have been as low as -6 recently (admittedly got warmer over the weekend). Fans were asking the club all day yesterday whether the game would be postponed, because it’s done nothing but piss it down since last year. The key reason for such a sparse crowd is three factors; Tues night - fucking freezing - and we’re a bit shit.

The anti-Rupp and Sparks brigade were always going to try and align the poor crowd with fan unrest. When we play Wimbledon next month, I fully expect to see a similar crowd if I’m wrong about the above.

But I know I’m right and the stands will be relatively full.

As long as Bradford can cash in from selling a shed load of season tickets every summer to their long suffering fans, then results, entertainment and league position can play second fiddle to the owners.

We all know it doesn't really count...

but we've sold 7400 tickets for Blackburn away on Monday.

And probably just a run of the mill league too.

That's going to be a fantastic day out for all those Wrexham fans old and new. Very jealous

We had a abit of an uptake of STs from exiles at the start of last season. I'd hazard a guess that the majority of our no shows are probably people who aren't local. I almost bought a ST ticket after I missed out on a ticket for the playoff match at your place just so that I could guarantee I'd have my hat in the ring for any big away matches, but knowing full well I'd only get to at most half of our home matches. Came to my senses thankfully, but I know of a few people who bought STs that did it for that reason and either lend theirs out or use the resale scheme for most matches. The resale scheme isn't really working though, I just don't think enough people can be arsed to use it or are for some reason are a bit dubious of it.

I can't imagine the total number of exile Season Ticket holders that are regular no shows is very high at all.

Agree Resale schemes at this level is a bit of stretch, unless you are Wrexham.

Perhaps not the majority, there's no way of knowing but those two factors mentioned (increased exile ST holders and people not wanting to miss out on big away matches) have definitely increased since we got promoted.

I don't really get why people don't use the resale schemes. There is one argument that if the match gets called off then who gets the rearranged ticket, but that seems like such an avoidable situation that it doesn't quite wash with me.

Mansfield always ask ST holders to let the ticket office know if they cannot make a game so they can sell the seat. I think usually people just give it to a mate so it don’t go to waste.

We have a ST exchange platform, where if we ST can't make it, we can put it up for sale. If the ticket gets sold to Joe Public, then the money paid for that gets taken off your ST renewal. Fair that is.

Have to say that's very disappointing from your lad. Would have thought he could do better than a Donny lass.

1625 Stockport, I'm presuming they could have brought 3300 which the away end holds , if so poor that for a team at top, its only 3 stops on the train.
