I have seen on official Chesterfield site 1131 chair boys
Sorry if i'm wrong but our our local paper's reporter gave it as 1,103 not that i care too much, it's from the same arsehole who kept reporting on Wasps 2 years after we kicked them out and they stole Coventry's ground.

Probably the same amount of whinging as you if you get Lincoln and only get 400 tickets again.
Won't happen.
Anyway, I won't be going. I don't do first legs, not a fan of going to games and leaving at half time!

Oooooo touchy!

Why does any of it matter? What like promotion, and relegation? Finances of your club? That sort of thing? Lol

I think I’m safe in saying that home attendances are more relevant to the financial health of any football team than dick waving away figures. Well they are to me anyway, for that very reason.

I suppose it does give the nerds something to do, lots of colourful tables, and pretty graphs to construct. Is it the full hard on or just a semi when you make your little tables?

P.S. We are now guaranteed another two 5 figure crowds this season so cock and hand very much ready and waiting over the next couple of weeks :bdick:

Not angry, just find you very very dull.

If not angry , definitely touchy with those responses. So what? Don’t get so worked up about it. Or conversely, why don’t you do another table, graph or something. Some sort of nerdy league table of the onefootballforum posters that you find most dull. Obviously me top , then fill in the gaps below. Try and put some stats/numbers in there, so you can satisfy the nerd in you, I think it will make you feel a lot better.

I had no idea you were so hung up on L2 away followings and whether your figure or some other statto at one of the club’s involved is the correct one. Surely it doesn’t really matter either way, their away support is fantastic whatever the figure ,as you would expect for a club of
Coventry’s size in this division

This site does rely mainly on people posting , I’d imagine jim brown , who is the person that archives the clubs history for a living , would be a more accurate source than random people posting on this site , although it can be a good rough guide even for other clubs .
I’m taking Jim’s word and would so even if it was lower than 1270.
No dent in your pride lads it just sometimes you get it wrong, I’ve seen people quite a few times post conflicting numbers for the same game
For starters we never took 399 to Exeter , we took less than 350 because the whole allocation was 350 .

Well if you ever want to know something about Coventry city, anything at all you ask Jim .
Who scored the most goals with headers since ww2 or who had the bigger away following ever at highfield road etc jim knows the answer .
It’s his job
Extremely reliable source I have no reason to doubt him, yet I picked a fault straight away with the numbers at Exeter on this site ?

Just seen, it was 339 not 399, reducing the average again, a 1,700 discrepancy is pretty odd though, I've been in touch with him on Twitter though so hopefully he can correct any errors I've made.

I can understand why Jim Brown cares, this Southey character from the Championship? Nope me neither :dk:
This Southey character as you call him actually takes the time to do averages etc in his own time so bit critical Viking.
Also they are relevant, as lets face it without a few 4000 plus away support your home averages would be well down ?

Well everyone’s would Darren wouldn’t they?

Always very happy to receive big away numbers at the Lane, as I’ve mentioned many time before on here. The more the merrier up-to the away end capacity, it’s great for the financial health of my club. This season’s impressive home average for Notts has been significantly helped by those handful of large away followings along with increased number of home fans . It’s great to see

And he calls me dull yet works out the average away attendances in L2 in his own time. Each to their own I guess but I think i’ll stick to worldwide travel

Why do Luton feel the need to keep banging on about how massive they think their away support is? You dont see Cov going on about theirs. I agree Luton is a dump:£

Literally haven't mentioned it pal. All I said was it was funny that NCFC have sent emails out to Luton fans in the corporate areas. Away numbers don't really interest me. Get off your high horse.

I’ve never seen a large packed away crowd at Meadow Lane before I’m excited .:eek: I hope it’s a great day for both sets of fans , and a big crowd :£

If you thought that was funny, you should try live stand up comedy, it will blow your mind.

To clarify , from the station to the ground = a dump.
Overall the city = a dump not enough going on

But I’ve only been to Luton and the surround 4/5 times so my view counts for little

You're weird. Didn't mention how many we're bringing, just found the tone of said email funny. Relax.

Excellent choices.

Been to two of those three so if you need any tips just ask. Vietnam was my favourite county I’ve ever visited until recently

Would also highly recommend the Philippines , undeservedly gets a bad rep but the islands are budget paradise (simply stunning) , the people are as friendly as the always amazingly friendly Vietnamese and the beaches can’t be beaten. IMO it’s just Manila that’s best avoided. Huge dump of a city, get in , no quickly get out to paradise.

Had 6 months in that neck of woods last year. Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia were my highlights.

Off to Phillipines via Langkawi in Feb also, never been there before but planning El Nido, Corun and maybe Boracay at the moment
