1,038 Luton fans in a crowd of 4,597 at Adams Park this afternoon.
Obviously there's been a miscount somewhere, because yesterday when tickets came off sale (and with tickets on sale on the turnstile too) 1,300 were sold? Not sure how 20% of fans buying tickets wouldn't bother travelling.

Wank numbers there.
It's practically a derby.

We sold over 1300 tickets - it was also pay on the day, so that away figure is definitely incorrect!

And it is not a derby at all, it's just a local game.

Average. Good win though.

I said it's PRACTICALLY a derby,which means it's almost a derby.

Wouldn't amaze me if that was accurate to be honest. A lot of people would have bought tickets before the previous two home games so I can imagine a lot deciding it wasn't worth being sat in that god-forsaken car park for a game that essentially amounts to a friendly as far as we are realistically concerned.

Maybe it's a transposition error and is 1,308?

And I'm telling you that it is not practically a derby, it is nowhere near a derby. Thanks.
Quite - it took me nearly 2 hours to get home by train on Saturday.

It's 25 fuckin' miles,mate.
That,to me,is pretty much a derby.
I think most people would say "derby" represents a big game between rivals ie Barcelona v Real Madrid despite their lack of proximity to each other. You can have local games which aren't derbies - ie describing Man Utd v Wigan or Wycombe v Luton as derbies is a bit rich as there's no rivalry there except for the fact they happen to be in the same league.

No.
A derby is a match between two nearby teams.
Barca v Real is not a derby as they're a long way apart.
It is,however,a very big game.
Wigan v Man Ure is a derby as they're not far apart.
Whether they have any history or not is irrelevant.

Some serious sledgehammer WUMming going on here. Yawn. Never mind, I guess the Crewe fan is just checking out his competition for next season.

Not a wind-up,John-I'm merely putting forward my personal views, which most people of intellect would back me up with.

Give yourself a Mars bar!
A former top-flight outfit from a town of 200,000 managed to take 1,300 25 miles down the road!
