We got to the final of that playing our reserve side, we lost the final to Darlington 1-0 - without a doubt the worst game the trophy must have had.

No matter how bad we are, the shame of being in that this season would take things to a new level.

#notinthebananaramaleague

Was it not shameful in the seasons you played in it? Has the quality suddenly got a lot worse since? Lol

Your own team is doing well yet you seem to be more focused on Mansfield, bizarre.

I can only go on the couple of times I've watched you this season, but I have to politely disagree Conks. Your midfield was fine, it was your back line that was clearly uncomfortable in both games, and that was the case even before you had a man sent off with the game still goalless.

Well I’ve watched nearly every game, and despite clearly needing serious work in defence it’s the centre of the pitch where most of the space is for the opposition team that leads to problems.

We’ve told our best CB he can go this month anyway!

I think the One Football Forum word you are looking for Don is obsessed. It's used a lot.

I'm multitasking, I can do both at once. Plus it was only the FA Trophy after all ;)

Graham Westley us moaning that they fell short as they had a midweek game and were tired whilst we had a free week.... despite us playing Tuesday!

Westley is right up there with Russell Slade when it comes to talking absolute bollocks after a defeat.

Mansfield are baffling me this season.

That's not a bad squad, is it? Has Dempster just knocked any sort of confidence out of them or is it something wrong as a club this season? Lots of players winding their contracts down and wanting out?

On the plus side somebody on Stagsnet said we be in play-offs going off goals scored (dunno if it’s true cba to look)

It’s pretty much Dempster that completely ruined it all, players took advantage of him I think and we are no longer a team, just a bunch of individual with loads of talent but no effort.

We shall see my inbred fwend, we shall see.
Ah, come on Firthy. You’ve got to admit today was a fucking blinder.

Doyle plays, you get beat, Bowyer gets pelters from the fans - and our one man team beats the 3rd best team in the league 3-1 with no Doyle.

You’ll be paying us to take him back soon!

How does that work?

Dunno probably bollocks, but the point that we are fine upfront is true Maynard is one of the leagues top goal scorers despite hardly any service; our problem is midfield and defence.

How does that work?

Obviously means they are joint 6th highest scorers! but when only 3 sides have conceded more than them it doesn't really matter! and you can see where there weakness is

Us quite the opposite, decent defence, in top 10 on goals conceded but can't score for toffee.

To be fair he did have to run the last 5 miles to the ground so wouldn't of been thinking straight.
Just got back home. Awful game where we seemingly couldn't string two passes together after the 15 minutes mark.
Again a reluctance to make a substitution. I was calling for a triple sub, Conlon who was appalling, Amoo anonymous and Pope anonymous due to no service.

Cue Conlon winning the penalty and Pope scoring. The pitch was quite shit too.
Surely changes on Tuesday but I wouldn't bank on it

I always say I don't get too downbeat after a loss to Exeter, and that's because I admire the way they set about playing their footy in a league full of cloggers but today's was daylight robbery.

Now I'm not one who delights in pinpointing errors by the match officials 'cos they're the same refs and linos for all the other L2 sides. In short, making excuses is not my style but today a couple of playground errors did cost us dearly. How in god's name the foul on Hannant in the 3rd min isn't a definite penalty I'll never know. Score that and who knows what would've happened. Then to add insult to injury, Exeter's opener should've been disallowed as Nicky Law was in a clear offside position.

All in all though, I'm pleased with that showing today, esp since it was a patched up side.

Anyway, good luck for the future Grecians.

Law was level with your no. 11 when he received the ball. Not sure about a penalty claim, looked similar to one Bowman had in the second half to be honest.

How you had a clear view from where you were is impressive

we just do straight 7-0 home wins... 7-0 last Saturday at home to Ebbsfleet and 7-0 today at home to FC United.
Greedy buggers...at least we believe in sharing the goals in our games!!!

The other thing about Mansfield is they looked unfit as fuck. 30 minutes in and they started tiring.

Good spot, a player even got in trouble for telling the previous management they were not doing enough  embarrassing how unfit our professional footballers are.

Crawley played well against Bradford and should have won by a bigger margin.

City played the ball around well but didn't really have a lot up front. Having said that they did score and bar a scorpion kick clearance by Sendles- White Doyle would have got his 4th at Crawley this season.

My own expected goal thingy had it as a 5-2 win for Town.

Good turn out from the Bradford fans but their team didn't give them much to shout about.

The defence are making lots of silly errors but the midfield is absolutely dreadful. They're not fit enough or brave enough and they can't play at all.

"Allocated seating", no problem I've row H. Every row is 'Row H' :fl: that don't even follow any type of numerical order.
I ended up with a front row seat, great until the swirling rain, you know, the type that gets everywhere.
In order to ensure that I don't see the inheritance any earlier than necessary I moved/squeezed my 85 year old Dad into the standing behind the goal. :sur:

They appear to be viewing Mr Radford and MTFC as a meal ticket this season.

I never get when fans of other teams give such strong views and politely disagree with another teams fan based on usually one and at most two games witnessed. Unless they are just on the windup. It carries almost no weight and verges on disrespectful.

I was surprised by how poor Walsall were in the 1st half - 1-0 at half-time really didn't do us justice because of how dominant we were.

2nd half I thought we were comfortable as well, especially after we got our second and then let Walsall have the ball. The 3rd goal came from us catching them on the break. I agree as well, Alfie was fantastic - the lad does not stop running and has that bit of class on the ball as well which makes him more than just a headless chicken.

Stevenage is a really odd club... not only Westley completely makes up an excuse that we didn’t play midweek, their steward moved our go pro behind the goal that had been there all game as Thomas is running up to strike the penalty.

Either bitterness or a Westley tactic to put Popey off maybe..

Can’t stand them anyway and that harks back to our cup meeting when they were non league in 2009 where they were so bad Tom Fraser publically called called them cocky from the top down through to the constant cheating every single visit to Vale Park pretty much since.

Hope they go down and we never have to bother with the farce of facing them again!

I don’t think anyone would miss Stevenage, there’s absolutely nothing redeeming about them at all.
